However, as that elder Metalhead hermit (who lives in the remote woods of Southeastern Ohio) told me just yesterday: “Stone, it’s never too late to get into The Ash.”

Right on Kev! As with Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash has that 1 original member and it’s all about being surrounded by world-class talent; which equates to quality songs and not cotton filled jugs of nothingness.

I always (truly) admire your choice of words Kev and “still have that same recognizable DNA” is a grand summation. Yes, songs do invoke specific memories… I actually wrote a piece that has a reference to just that and it will be posting this coming weekend! \m/\m/

I go a loooong way back with Wishbone Ash….I remember listening to ‘Blind Eye’ as a 14 year old on a portable mono grundig cassette player in the car on the way to a holiday on England’s southcoast. Funny how certain songs invoke specific memories…and now the’Ash’ , some 40 years later and only one surviving original member, still have that same recognizable DNA – wonderful!
