Thanks Metal Buddy! Yes, Maiden, Metallica and Tesla have enormously legendary album catalogs, to say the least! Can’t deny those 2 Def Leppard albums either… I dig “Hysteria” just as much as the 2 you’ve mentioned! \m/\m/

“St. Anger” and the collaboration with Lou Reed and “Lulu” are 2 Metallica albums that I could easily live without. “Load” and “ReLoad” I can give a green light to, yet those 2 albums aren’t the Metallica I grew to love from the 80′s.

First up, anything by Maiden, Metallica or Tesla would be on my list, it would be hard to choose just one. I would also need Pyromania or High N’ Dry by Leppard – I could just go on from there. Nice list.

Thanks Metal Buddy! Yeah, this list is just the start of many “Ten Metal Albums I Can’t Live Without” cause I couldn’t possibly narrow down 10 “definitive” Metal albums… LOL and no way!

I 100% agree with your choosing ‘Back For The Attack’ by Dokken… whoa! That album ROCKS and reminds me of good-times! Dokken always had some of the BEST music videos too, back in the day. \m/

Stone, what a great idea for a blog post. It would be so tough to pick 10 albums for me. You have a great selection and I don’t disagree with your list, however I might have dropped the Overkill and added Dokken’s Back for the Attack. Just my opinion coming from a George Lynch fan.
