The Pretty Goodbyes - Now We Run - promo cover pic

THE PRETTY GOODBYES – The 3 song debut demo EP, Now We Run, from the Loughborough based 4-piece band The Pretty Goodbyes was released back on August 6th, 2012. When very, very cool Alternative/Indie Rock crosses my Rockin’ path, I’m gonna bellow about it; right here on Metal Odyssey. This unsigned UK band would be signed by me in a micro second, if I had the (prestigious) ability to do so for a (knowledgeable) record label.

This Now We Run EP has unveiled 3 songs to my senses and ALL 3 are remarkably memorable, well written and downright (gulp) fun! I always appreciate the way a talented band like The Pretty Goodbyes can coalesce the beauty of 80′s New Wave, late 80′s College Radio and Early 90′s Alternative while still maintaining a balance of Post-Punk and Modern Indie Rock/Alternative sound and vibes; all the while keeping the flames of Indie Pop to a tolerable minimum (if any). Phew! I got that off my chest!

I’m digging this band and the vocals of George Evans are nothing short of terrific. Any serious fan of Alternative and Indie Rock will embrace the music from The Pretty Goodbyes. The Pretty Goodbyes have obviously learned at a very early stage, quality songs are their ticket to success; and I see nothing less happening for this band in the future. Check out The Pretty Goodbyes right now, right here: theprettygoodbyes.bandcamp.com

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS “OCEANIA” – Some Thoughts On This Significant Album

Posted in alternative rock, alternative rock albums, alternative rock bands, Music, Rock, rock albums, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , on January 13, 2013 by Metal Odyssey

The Smashing Pumpkins - Oceania - promo cover pic!

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS – I didn’t include Oceania from The Smashing Pumpkins on my 2012 Best Of Lists for Metal or Hard Rock for good reason. This 9th studio album from The Smashing Pumpkins accentuates the genius musical mind of Billy Corgan and it isn’t Metal; nor is it Hard Rock. Rock and Alternative Rock is The Smashing Pumpkins and I just didn’t compile a list of Top 10 Rock Albums for 2012… yet. I might still. Who knows?

While being in the heat of relocating my life from one state to another, writing original posts (album reviews, random blab and lists) is not entirely easy. I just had to get my thoughts out to the universe that I thoroughly enjoy Oceania; so much so, that I can easily sum up this important album by The Smashing Pumpkins in one simple word: beautiful.

If I did or was to compile a Top 10 list for Rock Albums released in 2012, Oceania would be #1.

Oceania is an album that must be heard and appreciated all the more, with the earphones on. Oceania is an album that must be heard to understand why I tag it as beautiful. The unique richness of sound and vibrant instrumentation is absolutely breathtaking. Lyrically thought-provoking is Oceania, regardless if that sounds cliché or not. Yes, Oceania does Rock like there’s no tomorrow; only this album Rocks in such a majestic way that it feels too damn special for me to overlook in writing about or acknowledging.

Sample, borrow and/or buy Oceania. Stone would never steer you wrong. Metal be thy name.

THE STRIPMINERS – Release New Album FRAIL HOPE RANCH On November 13th

Posted in alternative punk, alternative rock, Hard Rock, Music, rock bands, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , on September 24, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

Hometown L.A. Pre-Record Release Party Set For October 27th

Limited Edition White Vinyl Albums Will Be Available For Sale

_______________________________

(Los Angeles – September, 2012) – The Los Angeles-based alt-punk band behind the critically-praised debut album, MoviesTHE STRIPMINERS announce the November 13th release of their sophomore record Frail Hope Ranch.  THE STRIPMINERS are Brett Anderson, vocalist for rock dynamos The Donnas, Paul Stinson from punkers The Radishes, producer/guitarist Scrote (Daniel Johnston, Puscifer), Brett Simons (Brian Wilson, Fiona Apple, Melissa Etheridge) on bass, DJ Bonebrake (of X fame) on drums and Holland Greco (Anais Mitchell, The Peak Show) multi-instrumentalist, singer.

_______________________________

THE STRIPMINERS debut album, Movies, proved the band’s penchant for an eclectic and varied mix of punk, alternative country, garage rock and Pixies-like flair. Frail Hope Ranch takes on a more cohesive musical theme, comprised almost entirely of moody alt-country ballads conveying the visual of the name behind the title track.  Interestingly, these songs were written and recorded at the same time as their debut, but the band chose to save these to be packaged together in this standout sophomore release. Thematically the songs revolve around a male/female duo: “Sometimes we’re siblings, sometimes we’re lovers, it’s a little sick, but who wants to hear songs about healthy people?” states Lady Brett.
_______________________________
Song choice is critical to a record’s success and these veterans of the alt-punk genre knew exactly what they were doing.  The album jolts the senses with “Gothic”, a spooky, guitar/violin instrumental, painting a picture of fear, pathos and confusion. The tracks continue with a cinematic flair in “Y’all Part 1” and “Y’all Part 2” which frame the album’s standout track and first single, “The Twins,” demonstrating the album’s lyrical poetry, depth and complexity.  THE STRIPMINERS slow-motion fuzzy guitars, lethargic, deep bass picking and atmospheric cymbal rolls, blend with lyrics that are equally dark, matching heartbreaking refrains sung by Stinson and Anderson, “I’m still hiding away with you” and “I’m still pining away over you”. The album finale, a rockin’ cover of The Zombies’ “She’s Not There”, is perhaps the most impressive cover of the song to date, incorporating vibes, tight harmonies, and (eventually) the anger that the lyrics convey.
_______________________________
On October 27th, the band will play a pre-release party in Los Angeles at Echo Country Outpost. An evening of hand selected bands, chosen by THE STRIPMINERS will perform around the complex. In addition, there will be Special Guests sitting in when THE STRIPMINERS take the stage.  The band will be pre-selling their new album with a limited edition version in white vinyl for fans to pick up.
_______________________________
THE STRIPMINERS hinted toward their alt-country leanings with Movies tracks “Better Than A Song’ and the sultry “Like a Harp”. Now, Frail Hope Ranch takes the band even further and is as sure to bring in new fans, as it is to satisfy the faithful.

Swimming In Fire – Featuring: Greg Hampton, Danny Saber, Eric Dover & Chris Collier

Posted in alternative metal, alternative rock, experimental music, experimental rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , on August 5, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

SWIMMING IN FIRE – The dynamically Rockin’ duo of Greg Hampton (Alice Cooper, 9 Chambers, Lita Ford, The New Czars) and Danny Saber (U2, Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Marilyn Manson) have founded and are currently collaborating/producing a new project they’ve called: Swimming In Fire.

With Eric Dover (Slash’s Snakepit, Alice Cooper) and Chris Collier joining on, Swimming In Fire is a potent supergroup of seasoned songwriters and multi-instrumentalists to keep your ears and eyes on today and tomorrow!

Two words to know: Alternative. Experimental. Yes, Swimming In Fire are playing cutting-edge music and it’s still radiating some hard and heavy persona that Heavy Metal and Hard Rock diehards scream for. Expect the electronic gates of sound to open up and introduce you to what Greg Hampton and Danny Saber have created here with their project.

Incorporating driving guitars and melodic vocals into their songs is only just the beginning, with this creative band. There’s plenty of Alternative and Experimental nuances happening musically; this all makes the music from Swimming In Fire a true Rock ‘N Roll delicacy in the making.

I’m looking forward to hearing the eventual debut album from Swimming In Fire, these guys are onto capturing a sound that is both highly relevant and contagious. Metal be thy name.

Take a listen to three songs that are already streaming on Swimming In Fire’s facebook and Reverbnation sites, by clicking on the links below!

FOOLS FOR ROWAN “Who Killed Amanda Day?” – EP Flourishes And Skyrockets With Its Melodic & Modern Rock

Posted in alternative rock, Hard Rock, hard rock albums, melodic rock, modern rock, Music, rock albums, rock bands, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , on August 1, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

FOOLS FOR ROWAN – While the Modern Rock world jumps up and down for the likes of Daughtry, Shinedown, Cavo, Sick Puppies and Halestorm, (and rightfully so), there is another band that deserves the same treatment: Nashville, Tennessee’s Fools For Rowan. Here’s the slick groovy part: Fools For Rowan have even outshined their last full-length Twisted. Tied Up. Tangled. and I LOVE that album. Who Killed Amanda Day? is a whole new era for Fools For Rowan and they best strap themselves in for a high-speed Rockin’ road of continued success.

If an already seasoned and multi-talented band can maximize their songwriting and musicianship to a higher level than they were before; then Fools For Rowan is such a band. Yes, Fools For Rowan have recently opened for the legendary Evanescence, while also sharing the stage with the mega-famous Candlebox; only it’s a matter of time before Fools For Rowan will own the marquee on different shores and you’ll remember Stone told you so.

Led by the dynamic Erin Mullins on vocals, the melodic driven songs on Who Killed Amanda Day? are insanely memorable and relevant… and I’m an Extreme Metal loyalist who has been kidnapped by this band’s glowing Modern Rock tonality. Among my six favorite songs (on this 6 song EP) is Crave. Kelly Clarkson (my favorite AI winner ever) holds nothing over Erin Mullins when it comes to vocal resonance and prowess. Throughout Who Killed Amanda Day?, Erin steals the show and her band steals it right back… it’s incredible to hear.

____________________

The closing track is Leave, which has Erin dialing into some Stevie Nicks juju. A mellow and still dramatic vocal performance Erin gives on Leave. Back to Crave… Metal Odyssey’s Rock Song Of 2012? Just saying. I’m just enamored by Erin’s vocals and the band’s total musical output; for the simple reason I have never heard a hint of anything superficial from them on any of their songs… ever.

Refuge, Chameleon, and You Can’t Stop Me are Modern Rock charms that rise to the top; all three songs carrying their own flash and color of sonic appeal. The lead single, Killed A Man Today, is easily a song to narrow down as showcasing everything great about Fools For Rowan since the very beginning. There is a Rockin’ drive about this band that I hear and feel in their music which is without dispute; Killed A Man Today just solidifies this drive I’ve been hearing from Fools For Rowan.

Fools For Rowan has an ace in their box of talented tricks and it’s called Rockin’ passion. I hear it. I feel it. It flows through my veins. I’ve now told the world about it and I’m better off for it. Metal be thy name.

Who Killed Amanda Day? was released on July 3rd, 2012, via Lava Lamp Records. Who Killed Amanda Day? is available on iTunes and at Amazon.com.

They’re… DER HUNDS and they sound fabulous! If you’re into Hard Rock, Grunge, Alternative Hard Rock and/or Garage Rock, you won’t want to miss out on what DER HUNDS is playing here on Home.

A huge influence that I hear from their music is Soundgarden. No, DER HUNDS is not a Soundgarden sound-alike band, they certainly blend their own originality with any influences they may bestow. Vocalist Bobi does sound like Chris Cornell though; yet it doesn’t come across like he’s trying to. That’s just how I interpret what I hear and I really, really dig listening to DER HUNDS.

DER HUNDS is a DIY band and what a remarkable job they’ve done with Home. Excellent musicians, excellent songs. Record labels both independent and major should take my advice and check out the Heavy Rock sound of DER HUNDS. Metal as my witness, if I was a record label executive I would have this band signed today to at least a 3 album record deal. Yes, DER HUNDS is that legit, refreshing and relevant. Metal be thy name.

All four songs on Home are Rockin’ slam dunks. I can’t choose a favorite song here, therefore, the entire Home EP is my favorite! How’s that for Rock ‘N Roll democracy? Metal be thy name are these four songs exceptionally worthy of your time to check out. Home is available to stream and/or purchase at the DER HUNDS Bandcamp page by clicking the link below:

SPIDER ROCKETS “BITTEN” – Strap Yourself In… For One Hell Of A Hard Rockin’ Ride With Plenty Of Bite!

Posted in alternative rock, Hard Rock, hard rock albums, hard rock bands, Heavy Metal, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , , on June 18, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

SPIDER ROCKETS – The new studio album, Bitten, from New Jersey’s Spider Rockets was released on June 5th, 2012, via P-Dog Records. Better strap yourself in for this bevy of Hard Rockin’ songs that shoot out from Bitten! Spider Rockets have raised their own bar of musical accomplishment with their new album and it undeniably Rocks from A to Z! Admittedly, I was expecting a great Spider Rockets album with Bitten; only I wasn’t expecting a standout album of this magnitude.

After my initial listen-through of Bitten, I realized these 10 songs kicked my ass. After reality settled in and several more listens, I also realized that Bitten is one of the BEST albums I’ve listened to across ALL Rock genres thus far in 2012. Crisscrossing Heavy Metal, Alternative Rock/Metal and Hard Rock, Spider Rockets take their sound to a level of fun and excitement that I’ve always yearned for from a band. Any band. You know, like Anthrax and Misfits fun.

If your unfamiliar with Spider Rockets you absolutely must take Stone’s word here: Spider Rockets are the missing F’n link in today’s American Heavy Music. Spider Rockets sound LOUD even when the volume is down. Spider Rockets spread an infectious energy into my senses upon the opening note of Better When It’s Loud. Yes, as vocalist Helena Cos sings, it’s “better when it’s loud, it’s better when it’s fast” and I’ll confidently state: this Spider Rockets band is built-to-last!

Helena Cos illuminates the song, she has a vocal identity unlike no other female front woman I’ve heard in my 100 years of living. I state this due to the similarity factor that too often seems to come into play within the world of Rock. Helena accentuates the lyrics and sings with the confidence and attitude that any aspiring singer should emulate. Did I mention this band can play? With Bitten as proof, this band is as solid as a newly forged set of railroad spikes.

The cover of Golden Earring’s 1982 #1 hit, Twilight Zone, makes the news here. Spider Rockets spray paints more Rockin’ relevance on this (decades long) over played song… that I actually like it again! The tempo is turned up a notch and the curled-lip vibe from Helena’s vocals makes Twilight Zone a brand new and welcomed listen to my ears. If you have already heard and dug the lead single Scream (which was aired all over the internet months ago), you’re in for an enormous treat: there are songs on Bitten equal to and even better than that single!

Spider Rockets will make you move… and if you don’t move to the fist-pumping, headbanging, carefree, riff-infested, melodic, rhythm saturated, bass thumping, Alternative Hard Rock inspired style of songs on Bitten, then forget about it cause you obviously have no pulse. Album opener Going Down sets the party mood and who-gives-a-shit vibrations afire; while album closer Bring Me Around has me wishing there were 2, 3, 4 or 5 more songs to flow through my Rock ‘N Roll hungry eardrums and veins.

Seriously, Spider Rockets have declared the status quo of Hard Rock as public enemy #1 with Bitten. Collectively these songs play-out so fabulously that Bitten is an album that ends way, way, way too soon. Ring that Spider Rockets bell and tell all the people in the streets… Stone has been Bitten. And I want to get bitten again… and again. It’s now your turn to get bitten by Spider Rockets. Metal be thy name.

Melvins Lite “Freak Puke” – I’ve Listened. I Dig It. I Highly Recommend It. Will It Really All Matter? I Hope So…

Posted in alternative rock, experimental rock, Hard Rock, Music, rock albums, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , on June 3, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

MELVINS LITE – The irrefutable legendary band known across Earth as The Melvins are Melvins Lite with their new studio album Freak Puke. This ten song offering from Melvins Lite will be released on June 5th, 2012, via Ipecac. For loyal and new fans alike, I’ve decided to list some excerpts from past press releases that sheds more “lite” on why The Melvins are Melvins Lite on Freak Puke. Here we go and enjoy:

The Melvins unveil the latest twist in their 29-year history with Melvins Lite, an additional incarnation of the band that finds founders Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover partnering with Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk) for a 10-song release titled Freak Puke.

Buzz Osborne has stated, in a prior press release:

“The Melvins have a long history of mixing up our line-ups and I think that’s what has kept us relevant for so long,” explains Osborne. “Consider the Freak Puke record the fifth side of the four-sided Melvins triangle.”

The Melvins have decided to release an album called “Freak Puke.” AND they’ve decided to call it Melvins “Lite.” It’s still the Melvins of course but the “Lite” moniker comes from the fact that they’ve recorded the entire record with the always busy and fabulously talented Trevor Dunn playing a stand up double bass and it sounds really cool! It’s new musical territory for the Melvins and it works like a charm…”

Stone says, about Freak Puke and other related stuff:

My curiosity for The Melvins came to a boil back in 1993, when Houdini was released. This was the fifth album from The Melvins, so I knew I had some catching up to do with their back catalog. Houdini did it for me and the rest is (who gives a crap) history. I’m guessing once you listen to The Melvins once, you’re sucked in by the uncanny way they make their music different.

Fast forward to 2012 and Freak Puke from Melvins Lite. Wether it’s Houdini, Freak Puke or any other album from The Melvins that’s in-between, I’ve come to the belief that The Melvins follow no musical path but their own. As I write this epic album review, that classic line from (Bill Murray) who played Tripper Harrison in the 1979 comedy film, Meatballs, comes to my mind: “It just doesn’t matter.”

What doesn’t matter Stone? Well, I’ll tell you since you’re pondering. Trying to declare what genre The Melvins or Melvins Lite belongs to… it just doesn’t matter. Caring if anyone out there gives a crap that I really dig Freak Puke… it just doesn’t matter. Telling the world that Freak Puke ranks as a high recommendation from Stone… it just doesn’t matter.

What does matter is The Melvins musical existence. This Freak Puke album from Melvins Lite doesn’t follow a flavor-of-the-month blueprint for gratitude; that slimy gratitude from the snotty hierarchy that manipulates the mainstream. From the onset, Mr. Rip Off reminds me that this band is not ripping off anyone (no pun intended). Besides, I could sit for a month of Mondays and still not be able to name another band that sounds like this. Yes, that’s a grand statement to make, especially when soundalikes are more abundant in the music world than there are synthetic additives found in one Hostess Twinkie.

For those who truly need to know, Freak Puke is a heavy album. You’ll hear heavy guitar, heavy beats and clean vocals. Eccentric vocals at times too. With that said, Freak Puke is also a listen into what’s not heavy and still comes across as… heavy. Experimental. Alternative. Heavy. Sludgy. That’s Freak Puke and yes, I did throw out some damn Rock genres after all. Then again… it just doesn’t matter.

Wait, what does matter is my persuasiveness in prompting you to buy Freak Puke. Don’t follow the robotic crowd of cheerleaders for America’s Got Talent or any other plastic Pop Culture crap on a plate, try to be different. Be very different. Melvins Lite won’t bite. Hey, that rhymed. Still, it just doesn’t matter.

Let your ears become saturated with some Melvins Lite and be introduced to Rock ‘N Roll the way it was meant to be played; Rock ‘N Roll that shoots straight from the hip, without any predetermined obligations to those Rock historian morons that push out 50 pound coffee table books and vote at The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Freak Puke, courtesy of Melvins Lite, aims and succeeds to spread some messed-up fun and madness, on a sonic ride that is an instant remedy for Rock ‘N Roll status-quo-itis.

At the end of my semi-boring day, I surely hope my blab for Melvins Lite and Freak Puke does matter. At least a little bit. Metal be thy name.

MALICE IN WONDERLAND – Video Teaser For Upcoming Album “The Royal Brigade” Plus More Band News

Posted in alternative rock, alternative rock bands, Hard Rock, Music, rock albums, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , , , on April 22, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

Remember Malice In Wonderland?

The Norwegian Rock band burst onto the Scandinavian Rock scene with their self titled debut album in 2005. Led by hit single Lucifer’s Town the band was quickly labelled as one of the most promising underground Rock acts and their fan base grew quickly with fan clubs and supporters in every corner of the world.

The quartet, renowned as a great energetic live act, toured in Norway and Europe and even played some very successful shows in China. In 2008 and 2009 the band lived partly in Finland were lots of concerts and TV performances were held. In 2010 the band withdraw from the spotlight, built their own recording studio and concentrated on writing and recording their sophomore album entitled “The Royal Brigade”.

“We had to take a step back and figure out what direction we wanted with the new album and with the band as a whole” frontman Chris Wicked reveals. “It`s been a long time since our debut. We also have a new line up now so there were several things we had to sort out, but I’ll tell you we are extremely pleased with how things have been progressing lately.”

Check out the video teaser for The Royal Brigade below!

Malice In Wonderland recently finished recording their sophomore album entitled “The Royal Brigade” and the band will now start looking for a suitable label to release the CD. Chris is positive about the future: “There is a whole new energy within in the group now! New music, new line up and a new area for Malice In Wonderland in general. The new album is filled with catchy, killer tracks that we are positive will please both new and old fans. We can’t wait to show people what we have been up to lately!”

If Rock n’ Roll is dead, someone must have forgotten to tell these Norwegians. With a new record full of bombastic high energetic quality Rock songs, these guys are eager to prove that they indeed are a force to reckon with.

SANGUINE – Debut / ST: Alternative Metal That Leaps Over Cutting Edge

Posted in alternative metal, alternative rock, Heavy Metal, heavy metal news, metal music, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , , on March 29, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

SANGUINE – When I first heard the opening track For Love (not too long ago) I immediately realized that Sanguine is a band that will, without question, make some serious F’n noize within the Metal and Alternative Metal world. Tarin Kerrey can scream her lungs out and her vocals are power-packed with emotion that comes across as 100% sincere. For Love is an amazing track of Metal to open up this debut from Sanguine, both for its riveting vibes and heightened heaviness.

Sanguine originates from the UK and they’re Metal comes with a fresh dose of sound that is unique and not part of any “same-old” crowd. One amazing song on this debut is Bangkok Nights. Try to imagine New Wave going full-throttle on the Metal pedal. Add a sliver of Funky guitar, screaming vocals, some Rap, thunderous Metal rhythm and Bangkok Nights is as diverse a Metal song I’ve ever had scorch my eardrums.

In The Sky is melodic and flows along like a top twenty hit single. More Hard Rock than Metal, In The Sky maintains  an edgy feel and vibe that is constant and contagious. Given Up is fortified with Alternative Metal muscle, speed, grooves, soaring vocals and a slice of growl. A song that is ultra energy fortified for certain. No two songs sound alike on this debut from Sanguine, a quality that I find alluring.

Live Consume Drive has so many delectable varieties of heaviness happening that it’s flat-out sensational. With a Punk snarl for its backbone, this song is driven by its aggressive speed and attitude. A potent moshing candidate of a song, one that’s guaranteed to turn fans at a live Sanguine show into a slammin’ frenzy. Contagious and Contagious Remix (Tim Baker Version) are examples of what happens, when a band wants to make Alternative Metal that will make you stomp about wether you are willing to or not.

The more I’ve listened to Sanguine, the more I want to get up off my ass and slam my body around the house, while my out of control movements destroy’s every material good I own into remnants of what once was. Sanguine is a band that isn’t looking for a party, they are the F’n party. Sanguine has created Metal, Alternative Metal, that accelerates at a non-stop level of psyche-you-out fever. This is Alternative Metal that has been turned up a dozen notches and very well may be ahead of its time. Hell yes.

Sanguine has proven to me, they’re a band that can’t be given a proper do with words alone. Sanguine has a debut album that needs to be digested by your senses to fully understand just how talented and commanding they sound. Sanguine will Rock your face off. I’ve warned you. If I could pick that one band I need to see live, it’s Sanguine. I can only imagine their songs coming to life in a small club/venue where all I can do is experience this band’s Alternative Metal and heightened energy. Metal be thy name.

Take a look and listen below to Given Up and (hopefully) you’ll see what I’m trying to blab about!

SANGUINE:

Tarin Kerrey – Vocals

Nick Magee – Guitar/Vocals

Tom Sherwood – Bass

Matt Feld – Drums

SANGUINE – Current Rockin’ News of Note:

Singer Tarin Kerrey has performed guest vocals on 4 songs of the Primal Rock Rebellion album ‘Awoken Broken’ by Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden.

The band is currently writing album two with Jesper Stromblad from In Flames.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2012 - The Melvins unveil the latest twist in their 29-year history with Melvins Lite, an additional incarnation of the band that finds founders Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover partnering with Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk) for a 10-song released titled Freak Puke (June 5, Ipecac Recordings).

“The Melvins have a long history of mixing up our line-ups and I think that’s what has kept us relevant for so long,” explains Osborne. “Consider the Freak Puke record the fifth side of the four-sided Melvins’ triangle.”

The Melvins will be taping an episode of Last Call with Carson Daly at their Apr. 13 show in Los Angeles. Osborne will join Greg Gutfeld for another chat on June 28 on Fox News’ Red Eye.
