KISS “Reason To Live” – 1987 Music Video Is: Stone’s METAL Pick Of The Day!

What has inspired me to choose this 1987 music video from the iconic KISS for Stone’s Metal Pick Of The Day, are the lyrics. If you can get past the cheese and sugar-free cola imagery of the video itself, the message is simple: Everybody’s got a reason to live. Too many innocent people are dying in our world today due to wars, gang violence, unrest and hostility. Crippled, sickly children and adults are struggling everyday to live; while their waking up the next day is a personal victory. Homeless people have tales to tell; if only anyone would listen. Ebola is on the loose in Western Africa, with no validated medical cure at hand.

Too much (irrational) emphasis is put on a person’s value to society or their family; based on how high their salary is. Skin color or one’s religious loyalty (or lack thereof) can ignite unspeakable hate crimes and racism. Immigrant has become a four-letter word? Heroine is taking the lives of people around-the-clock. Community food pantries struggle to stay stocked.

Plus, if you factor in the Oregon wife and mother of two toddlers, Jennifer Huston, who went missing on July 24th (later to be found yesterday) twenty-five miles from her home, deceased and outside of her vehicle on a remote dirt road, the meaning and value of life becomes more profound. No one has all the answers to the suffering, still, as a global community, humanity needs to obliterate insanity.

I am not preaching, just stating the facts and venting about what is reality in our world today. Please don’t get depressed from all of this; instead LIVE each day and tell those you love… that you love them. Help a stranger; that same stranger may help you someday. Don’t think about donating to or volunteering for a reputable cause… DO IT!!

What is grand about this video is we can all witness the late and great Eric Carr playing the drums. Now that’s NOT cheese or sugar-free cola at all. I hope you can take in the lyrics and enjoy this music video. Metal be thy name. – Stone

5 Out Of 5 METAL Fists!

Metalfistredbckgrndsmall5

TANK – The title track, from TANKS’s 2012 War Nation album boasts a Melodic Metal ride that sends me off into Metal La-la land. A grand Classic Metal sound and vibe TANK has carried on, with this entire War Nation album! The timeless vocals of the legendary Doogie White soars on this title track and throughout this album, truly one of his finest Metal performances on his impressive Metal resume. In my Metal opinion.

Guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans are a powerhouse duo for my ears to savor! If this War Nation album had been released back in the mid to late 80’s, I firmly believe (nearly) every Metalhead alive would have owned and bragged about it. No matter how I slice or dice it, this 2012 version of TANK thrills me and I make no excuses for being psyched-out by it all. Crank up War Nation and hail Metal! Metal be thy name. – Stone

Track Listing: War Nation, Song Of The Dead, Hammer And Nails, Don’t Dream In The Dark, Grace Of God, Dreamer, Justice For All, Wings Of Heaven, State Of The Union, Hard Road, War Machine (live bonus track), Feast Of The Devil (live bonus track), W.M.L.A. (acoustic version/bonus track)

Los Angeles, CABad Wolf has returned with a riveting new music video that is sure to captivate audiences and gratify current fans. “Stay With Me” is the follow-up single to 2013’s “Drowning Beautiful” release, which has garnered nearly 102K views on YouTube. The latest single tells the relatable story of desperately trying to save a broken love, and features Bad Wolf’s signature sound of haunting vocals, heavy guitars, and a hypnotic drumbeat. “Stay With Me” also marks the first single containing backing vocals from Bad Wolf’s Tommy and Alicia. The faerie-inspired rockers have once again teamed up with director, Raiya Corsiglia (Cannes Lion Nominee, eight-time Telly Award Winner) to have their fantasy storybook themes come to life. Bad Wolf consists of Kota Wade (lead vocals and keys), Tommy O. (guitars), Tim Falco (drums), and Alicia Vigil (bass).

Bad Wolf’s state-of-the-art musicvideo pays homage to several different fairytales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty & the Beast, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. The filming of the video took the band to the Angeles National Forest, where they got up close and personal with the wolves on set. “It was amazing getting to work with real wolves, just seeing them in the forest while we were shooting was magical, and we knew it would push this video over the top!” says lead singer, Kota Wade. “We’re so excited to be able to represent our ‘Wolfpack’ (as we call our fans) with real wolves and a very ‘big bad wolf’ storyline in this video!” Consisting of an elaborate set production and astonishing costumes, Bad Wolf kept a keen eye on the details when developing the storyboard for the ultimate fairytale vision. “In this video we wanted to tell a love story, something we haven’t done in our previous songs, but in a Bad Wolf, dark, faerie rock way!”

Apart from being full-time members of Bad Wolf, the foursome has attained success within their respected individual careers. Kota Wade is a member of the pop group, Girl Radical, organized by *N Sync’s, JC Chasez.  She has also graced the cover of LA Weekly, as “One of LA’s Most Interesting People” for her role as owner and operator of the all ages Hollywood venue, Amplify. Tommy O. is currently an electrical engineer who holds a patent in the field of deep brain stimulation. Aside from being a musician, Vigil is also a model and an actress, and can be seen as the lead in the Black Veil Brides movie adaptation, Legion of the Black. With a strong passion to assist kids, drummer Tim Falco is presently obtaining his teaching credentials for adapted physical education for students with special needs.

Music Connection Magazine recently named Bad Wolf one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Acts of the year. They have played alongside national acts such as Semi-Precious Weapons and Panic! at the Disco’s Dallon Weeks. With each release, the band’s fan base continues to grow alongside the crowd at their live show. Wise Girl - You'll Just Have To Wait - promo cover pic

Pop Rock Band Leads with Singles “Stuck in This” and “You’ll Just Have to Wait”

____________________________________________

Los Angeles, CA – Fresh off the success of their 3-song EP in 2012, the pop/rock ensemble, Wise Girl is transcending with their debut full length album, You’ll Just Have to Wait. Complete with rock and roll beats, spunky pop melodies and Weitz’s classic bold voice, You’ll Just Have to Wait has something for everyone. Last month, the band teased their album by releasing the first single “Stuck in This” via social networking properties, receiving an overwhelming response and praise from fans. “Stuck in This” was merely the tip of the iceberg for this emerging band, as they unleash their best work to date with the release of You’ll Just Have to Wait, now available on iTunes.

After the unexpected admiration of their first EP, Wise Girl was determined to return to the studio to build upon their feat and in-turn have created 10-original tracks that encompass their blood, sweat and tears. Lead singer Abby Weitz calls the album “a big step towards Wise Girl’s future. We put a lot of time and effort into this album and the three of us are really proud of what we have achieved. It brought us a lot closer as a band and we all admire and respect each other’s musicianship even more so than before”.

Below, crank up, listen to and watch So Broken. Whoa!!

“Stuck in This,” the lead single features Weitz’s virtuous vocals, which are complemented by the fiery guitar riffs of Chris Fasulo and vigorous drums from Harry Keithline. The infectious title track “You’ll Just Have to Wait” highlights Weitz’s signature and unparalleled melodies with her witty lyrics. Digging deep, Weitz penned a snapshot of her life, from love lost and friendships soiled to internal conflict, leaving a piece of her heart in each track. Weitz tells fans that the album comes from “something so heart wrenching, turned into something positive. All of the pain that I went through was worth it because of the outcome; some of my favorite songs that I’ve ever written.”

Wise Girl - promo band pic - 2013 - #33

The debut album from the pop/rock band was produced by guitarist Chris Fasulo and written by singer/guitarist Abby Weitz. Authentic lyrics, wit and unexpected tonalities color this band’s uniquely intricate songs. The idea of performing music for a living has been the dream of each member since childhood. Abby and Chris both picked up the guitar at age thirteen, while Harry picked up the sticks at age eight. Abby originally started the band and looked to Chris for help in producing her tracks; the musical chemistry between them was evident from day one. The earnest lyrics and harmonic sounds of the band are in large part contributing factors to the Wise Girl success.

Anxious to share their latest work with their devout Wise Girl fans, You’ll Just Have to Wait is finally available on iTunes. Be sure to share your love with Wise Girl and follow the band at www.WiseGirlMusic.com or www.facebook.com/wisegirlmusic.

WE CAME AS ROMANS “Fade Away” – #2 In A Series Of Celebrating Peace And Hope On Metal Odyssey

We Came As Romans - Tracing Back Roots - promo cover pic

Within this week marking the anniversary of the horrific events that occurred in the U.S.A. on September 11th, 2001, I will be featuring songs of hope, love, inspiration, positive vibes and goodwill towards man. These songs will be pulled from the Hard Rock and Metal genres too. Hopefully, an attack like that will never happen again upon any country.

There currently is way too much conflict and suffering happening in the world today; our life on Earth is too short for such carnage and despair. War is not the answer and I cherish life, family, music and of course… Metal Buddies. Metal be thy name.

Below is the official music video for Fade Away, from Detroit, Michigan’s very own We Came As Romans. A Metalcore band that features both a melodic and Hardcore sound, We Came As Romans have recently crashed the charts with their Billboard top-ten studio album: Tracing Back Roots. The inspiring lyrics to Fade Away are nothing short of personal perseverance and hope filled. Below, listen to and watch Fade Away by We Came As Romans:
