ADRENALINE MOB – TO OPEN FOR AVENGED SEVENFOLD; MIKE PORTNOY EXITS BAND AMICABLY
Adrenaline Mob is proud to announce that we’ve been added as the opening act for Avenged Sevenfold at the LaCrosse Center Arena on July 16th in LaCrosse,Wisconsin! Also on the bill is Fight or Flight featuring Dan Donegan, Mike Wengren of Disturbed fame. We would like to thank everyone in the A7X Camp for this incredible opportunity & we’re extremely excited to perform alongside these awesome bands!!
After coming off an amazing run in South America w/Halestorm, we have unfortunately parted ways with drummer Mike Portnoy due to scheduling conflicts as you all know. We had an incredible run with Mike & made 2 great albums together as well as many great shows & tours since we’ve launched Adrenaline Mob. It was a pleasure to share the stage with such a great talent but as a band we need to be able to move forward & work as hard as we can to take Adrenaline Mob to the next level. We wish Mike all the best in everything he does!
Mike Portnoy
As far as filling the drum position… we will not be announcing a permanent replacement just yet. We are currently seeking out the right person to fill the spot at this time & will use a fill in for the A7X Show on July 16th.
We’d also like to announce that Mike Orlando & Russell Allen have been hard at work writing the next Adrenaline Mob album & will enter the studio late summer, early fall to begin tracking the new release! Russell, Mike & John would like to send out a huge special thanx to all the amazing Adrenaline Mob fans worldwide for their incredible support at this time! We’re extremely excited to unveil the next phase of Adrenaline Mob real soon!!

Portnoy Rocks, he’s everywhere, like Dave Grohl, except he’s called Mike. 😉 \m/

HEY! Kev, I live by the METAL Mottos: ‘You never know’ and ‘Life is full of METAL surprises!’
Kev, I have a band I think you’ll dig! (Maybe you already know about them). If not, here you are: https://www.facebook.com/traciigunsband
I bought their debut CD and WOW! It’s Bluesy 70’s Rock man!! \m/\m/

Ooh – gonna check that out – I have the album ‘Contraband’ by the supergroup of the same name which featured Tracii, Share Pedersen of VIXEN, Michael Schenker, Bobby Blotzer from RATT, and Richard Black from SHARK ISLAND. I always loved it, even though it was a commercial flop. Particularly this one, ‘Kiss by kiss’ http://youtu.be/owkE1HtRjXc

I actually like that song a great deal! Thanks for the link & heads-up on this, Kev! A true ‘blast from the past’ too! Schenker sounds awesome on ‘Kiss By Kiss’ and I’m gonna search for this CD now. 🙂
Contraband is one of many bands that came out at the wrong time, don’t you think? Them early 90’s (and that entire decade) were brutal for bands like this to get commercial attention or promotion. Contraband flew under my radar for far too long! Thanks again Kev! \m/\m/
