Kansas City thrash masters HELLEVATE have posted the official music video for the title track off their new album, Killicon Valley. This five-minute thrash-fest aims its rage at the use of AI in today’s culture.
“This song is the result of several years of us watching the development of AI and ranting about it with each other. So many songs out there about AI have their hearts in the right place, but they always sing about it like it’s Skynet or SHODAN; some unstoppable robot overlord coming to bring the apocalypse,” comments guitarist Joshua Cole about the song.
“Then you actually use it and it’s a crappy productivity tool that only helps create more noise and BS that we all have to wade through, all because some idiot billionaires decided they liked the idea of a computer that could do all their thinking for them and replace those pesky employees. The lyrics fit the music perfectly, as it’s nasty, aggressive, relentless, and fast! If you like your thrash metal played pissed off and at warp speed, we’ve got you covered with this one!”
Vocalist Robert Browne expands on the song’s lyrical theme, “The so-called “leaders” of the tech industry have made shit more expensive, turned a multitude of careers upside-down, and gotten this moronic presidential administration to give them access to sensitive systems. And for what? It fucks up simple tasks. It fills our news feeds with garbage and lies. It gives mediocre idiots with no skill the delusions that they can make art with no effort, all at the cost of the planet that sustains our lives. Older folks who fear AI think it’ll be like a Terminator 2 thing. It’s much worse; I’d rather be blown up than starve.”

Killicon Valley is relentless in execution. Eleven tracks of the bullshit-free, ‘thrash-or-be-thrashed’ attitude the band has cultivated over their nearly 20 years of existence. Today, that fury has escalated beyond the breaking point. The result is an album that true fans of old-school thrash can blast with pride.

HELLEVATE will mark the release of Killicon Valley with an album release show at Warehouse on Broadway in Kansas City, MO. Support will come from Jackson Country 5, Meat Shank, and Bloodscent. Check the event page for details.
Kindred is the nightmarish debut horror novel from long-running extreme music and horror journalist Chip McCabe.
Creed Woodhouse is the horror writer alter ego of author/journalist Chip McCabe, who has written extensively about music for publications such as the Chicago Tribune, Hartford Courant, Hartford Advocate, New Haven Advocate, and Metal Insider. He currently pens the blog TheMetalDad.com where he writes about music, horror movies, and parenting, and he hosts the horror movie podcast The Fiendish Five Podcast, available on all major streaming platforms. While McCabe has authored two non-fiction works – 100 Things To Do In Hartford Before You Die and 666 Days of Metal – Kindred is his first fictional horror novel.
In Kindred, it’s June 1987 and Eric Smith, an otherwise average teenager getting ready to graduate high school in rural southern New Jersey, is plagued by nightmares of a strange hallway and a door with a golden knob. When a young girl is found mutilated deep within the nearby Pine Barrens it sets off a string of events that will forever alter the lives of Eric and all those close to him.
As Eric’s terrorizing nightmares grow increasingly realistic, those around him, including friends and family, begin to slowly reveal their true selves and the secrets they have been harboring. As the line between Eric’s dream and reality becomes completely blurred his entire world begins crashing down and pure evil is manifested.
Kindred is available at bookstores including Barnes & Noble HERE.
A signing event for Kindred will take place at Folklore & Fable in Colchester, Connecticut on May 30th from 1-3pm. More info can be found HERE.
You can also enter to win copies of the book by correctly answering horror movie trivia at the Spooky Popcorn outdoor horror movie series McCabe organizes annually in Hartford. Read more HERE.
“…Kindred offers a super fun and slightly freaky yet compelling storyline for all lovers of a good old-fashioned thriller… Kindred deftly balances its horror elements with mystery elements but never forgets to put its characters first.” – Karen Ponzio
As previously announced, Italian death-grind veterans UNDERTAKERS will release their new album Global Dominionon July 10th, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.
In the meantime, the band today presents “United Front”, the first single taken from the record, offering a direct and uncompromising glimpse into the new material. The track highlights the group’s renewed approach, more than ever focused on a burning fusion of death metal, grindcore and hardcore attitude. With this first preview, UNDERTAKERS confirm the foundations of an album set to stand out for its intensity and stylistic coherence.
“’United Front’ is the album’s closing statement of unity and resistance. Blending grindcore intensity with hardcore urgency, the track channels collective strength against division and control. It’s a call to overcome fear and fragmentation, turning individual struggles into a shared force. Direct, anthemic and defiant, the song captures the moment where awareness becomes action and voices merge into one”.
Track-list:
1. Call To Arms (intro) 2. United Front 3. Global Dominion 4. All Out War 5. Plutocracy Era 6. Iron Regime 7. Collapse Protocol 8. Rise of Resistance 9. Just Keep Fighting 10. Bodies’ Supermarket
Global Dominion marks the most mature chapter in the band’s history. It is where everything finally locks into place: grindcore violence, hardcore urgency, death metal weight and sharp black metal edges fused into a modern sound that never betrays its old-school DNA. No nostalgia trip, no trend-chasing, just experience, control, and intent.
The record is built on contrast: precision versus chaos, speed versus crushing mid-tempos, modern production versus a raw, uncompromising attitude. Every track serves a purpose, every riff hits with direction. This is a band that knows exactly who it is and has nothing left to prove.
Lyrically and conceptually, the album is both a denunciation and a reflection. Global Dominion is the core statement: a ruthless look at power, control, and submission in contemporary society, but also a mirror held up to human nature itself. This is not abstract politics, it’s about systems we live in, benefit from, and are crushed by at the same time.
Tracks like “Rise of the Resistance”, “Collapse Protocol”, and “Iron Regime”define the first impact: rebellion, systemic failure, and enforced order. “Plutocracy Era” sharpens the focus, exposing a world ruled by wealth and influence, while “Just Keep Fighting” stands as a blunt survival mantra. The album closes with “Global Dominion” and “United Front”, tying the narrative together: awareness without illusions, resistance without rhetoric.
This is a heavy record with something to say. Cold, aggressive, and direct. Modern in form, old-school in spirit. No compromises.

NEW VIDEO FOR “THEY FOUND ONE OF MY GRAVES” RELEASED
“The old school never gets old” – Fenriz
In a year marking four decades since their first incarnation as Black Death, 2026 sees the return of Norwegian duo Fenriz and Nocturno Culto, better known as Darkthrone. The new studio album Pre-Historic Metal, out now via Peaceville, is fueled by a long-running obsession with invoking the spirit of old-sounding metal, and doing things in their own, uncompromising way.
Venturing out once more from their Northern cave with a new batch of timeless riffs, the band fly the Pre-Historic Metalbanner high, leaning into the raw, timeworn sound for their latest primal offering.
As Fenriz himself proclaims of the title’s symbolic origin, “Prehistoric is a loose term.I just figure it’s our VIBE, our take on things and it’s more a statement that we use old style to create something new”.
To coincide with the album’s release there is a new lyric video for the album opener “They Found One Of My Graves”, created by Matthew Vickerstaff (Darkwave Arts).
A continuation of 2024’s stellar ‘It Beckons Us All’, ‘Pre-Historic Metal’ is a ferocious slab of primal epics & gargantuan riffs with organic sound, graced with the ever-present permeating spirit of the 70s and 80s. This next chapter in Darkthrone’s unyielding saga presents a vast odyssey through the sonic landscapes of Thrash, Black, Heavy and Doom Metal and, adorned with a punishing and “in your face” guitar presence, Darkthrone stirs the cauldron of savage creativity with a nod to the writing methods which were indicative of their earlier works of the late 80s, but with a more refined craft.

Summarising what the album represents, Fenriz explains: “It means that we are metal. With very loud guitars. “Frightfully barbaric but not without finesse”, I call it. We collaborated in the studio more than ever, who’s playing what is still in a purple haze, but last but not least it was a sort of hardening of the arteries – we decided to tighten the tourniquet and do 8 effective songs brimming with riffs instead of the airy plodding we so much enjoy usually”.
‘Pre-Historic Metal’ was recorded at Chaka Khan Studios, Oslo, with production work conducted by Ole Øvstedal, Silje Høgevold & Mads Luis. Mastering was carried out by Jack Control at Enormous Door, and Maor Appelbaum Mastering.

New album “Sylfaera the Fair” completes the epic trilogy begun with “Pomegranate” and “Centaurea”
New music features glossolalia (invented language) and weaves together elements of nordic, dark and ritual folk
30th studio album to be released on 21 May 2026 via The Circle Music in Digi CD, limited marbled transparent turquoise & black LP and a limited Deluxe Black Box. Pre-orders available
As the release of their landmark 30th studio album draws near, Ataraxia have unveiled the next chapter of their latest odyssey. The new single and video, “Alabaster”, moves away from the Mediterranean rites of the previous single towards the frost-laden peaks of the North.
Taken from the upcoming album Sylfaera the Fair, the final installment of a trilogy that began with “Pomegranate” and “Centaurea”, “Alabaster” introduces a warrior-shaman into the band’s unfolding mythos.
In the world of “Sylfaera the Fair”, “Alabaster” is a free spirit and a shaman deeply entwined with the wolf species. He roams the snow-capped Northern mountains, a formidable warrior who balances the disciplined grace of martial arts with the raw, savage power of the wilderness.
As a member of the Fellowship of the 9, “Alabaster” embodies the sacred masculine. He is a body-shifter, moving between the forms of man and wolf, his identity defined by the pale hue of his skin and fur. He is the first to arrive at the ritual grounds of Loona under the light of the full moon, acting as the vanguard who opens portals through arcane formulas.
The band comments on the track’s significance: “Alabaster acts as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual. On the night in Loona, he longs to reunite with his group soul, moving not as an individual, but as a single spiritual entity guided by powerful instinct. He knows the shadows, the tracks, and the smells of the wild. He represents that primal, intuitive force that exists within the sacred masculine.”
The track features the evocative vocals of Francesca Nicoli, set against the music that includes bouzouki, electric guitar, and ritualistic programming by Vittorio Vandelli, and keyboards of Giovanni Pagliari. The haunting uilleann pipes of guest musician Gregorio Bellodi further elevate the arrangement. Wampyrion directed the accompanying video.
Sylfaera the Fair will be available from 21 May 2026 in three distinct physical formats via The Circle Music. Options include a high-quality Digi CD, a Turquoise LP limited to 400 copies, and a Deluxe Black Box embossed in silver, limited to only 100 copies. The box set features exclusive silver vinyl, a “Travelling Stone” ritual artifact, a 16-page booklet, and a personal message from the band.
The epic return of Los Angeles progressive power metal group. Two years on from their last single “Ironsides” and eight years after their explosive debut, ‘Legends,’ the LA shred-lords NOVAREIGN return with some new music with a new digital single and their first music video. “Sun & Moon” is filled guitar frenzy, intricate rhythmic complexity and soaring anthemic vocals, and when we say filled we mean it cause this track clocks in over ten minutes.
While online now at all digital streaming and download platforms, make sure and view the band’s performance in all its hairy glory as they work their way through the music’s challenging and eventful passages.
“This song holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. Musically, it is supposed to be a love letter to all things Heavy Metal that inspired my playing for so many years, while showcasing the bombastic talents of each member of the band in a way that I hope feels old-school and modern at the same time,” explains guitarist Balmore Lemus.
“Lyrically, it is a message from father to son to hold true to their heart and spirit through the inevitable dark times that life can and will likely present, as well as a reminder that they are a culmination of love, light, and an unbridled fire that is capable of so much more than they could even imagine.
We hope you enjoy the tune as much as we’ve enjoyed playing it live. It’s been a staple in most recent shows for a while now and man does it feel good to have it come to light, finally! Thank you guys for sticking with us this far!“
“Along the lines of this good news is that NOVAREIGN have delivered a finished album… finally it’s reality. If you follow the label you’ve noticed for the past few years us tease a new NOVAREIGN album is in the works. We have finished the master and layout delivered and the album is slated for a July 17th release. And we’re starting pre-orders today for what NOVAREIGN have entitled “ShiftingThe Axis Of The World” at our webstore or Bandcamp.”
NOVAREIGN gained quite a bit of traction with their 2018 album, Legends, which was praised as “a bombastic mix of epic metal” (BraveWords), “an instrumental fireworks show” (Metal Bandcamp) and “one of the most addictive power metal records I’ve heard in a long time” (Two Guys Metal Reviews).
Additionally, the ensuing live shows that followed its release included dates with Michael Schenker, Exmortus, Angra, White Wizzard, Rhapsody Ov Fire, Act of Defiance, Bonded By Blood, GloryHammer, Graveshadow, PowerGlove and Holy Grail, in addition to festivals like Mad With Power, Hyperspace, Ruinfest and Frost And Fire.
In the downtime, NOVAREIGN endured a couple of lineup changes implementing new drummer Ulises Hernandez (ex-Judicator, Anubis), while guitarist Balmore Lemus split his time with Judicator, Lunar and Dire Peril. On and off NOVAREIGN have been writing and recording the follow-up to Legends and after too much time a new effort is on the horizon.

Melodic death metal outfit Accursed has released their powerful new single “Sever the Horizon,” a track that not only expands the band’s sonic identity but also serves as the creative catalyst for their forthcoming debut full‑length album. The LP is currently in pre‑production and scheduled to begin recording this summer, with a release date to be announced.
“Sever the Horizon” marks a pivotal moment for Accursed, musically, lyrically, and creatively. Built on intricate guitar work, shifting dynamics, and a heightened sense of compositional precision, the single represents the band’s most ambitious material to date.
“This single is a step forward for us. It’s more technical, more layered, and more deliberate in its composition. It pushes our sound into new territory while staying true to what defines us, and it really sets the tone for where we’re headed with the album,” says guitarist and primary songwriter Dave Lee.
Though written over a year ago, “Sever the Horizon” became the creative spark that shaped the rest of the album. Lyrically, the track explores the story of Richard “Sky King” Russell and the Horizon Air Incident of August 10, 2018, approached through an interpretive and human‑focused lens.
Rather than recounting events or glorifying actions, the band chose to explore the emotional and psychological space Russell may have occupied in his final moments, capturing the surreal beauty, fear, and uncertainty of a widely discussed tragedy.
“We intentionally avoided direct callouts or any attempt to explain or glorify his actions. The focus is on perspective and human experience. It’s a story that resonated with a lot of people when it happened, and we hope that the song connects similarly, maybe offering listeners something to reflect on and relate to in their own struggles,” adds Dave.
Accursed’s upcoming debut album sits at the intersection of melodic death metal, technical death metal, and deathcore, though the band emphasizes that the record is far more cohesive than a list of influences suggests.
Lyrically, the record will span mythology, historical practices, real‑world trauma, horror‑inspired concepts, and politically charged themes. The planned result is a body of work that is intense, unflinching, and intentional, with each track contributing to a larger sense of narrative tension and thematic purpose.
“Once we finalized ‘Sever the Horizon,’ everything else clicked. The songs that made the cut all share a certain weight and atmosphere; they feel like they belong in the same world,” says Dave.
Recommended for fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates, Revocation, Wretched, and Angelmaker, “Sever the Horizon” can be heard at the following links:
Accursed is a Connecticut‑based melodic death metal band formed in 2019. Their sound fuses atmospheric melody, technical aggression, and modern heaviness, resulting in a style that is both familiar and forward‑thinking. Lyrically, the band explores themes of consequence, internal fracture, mythology, trauma, and the quiet violence of everyday existence. With a sharpened lineup and an uncompromising creative vision, Accursed are poised to make a distinct mark on the melodic death metal landscape.
Swedish power metal force TUNGSTEN are ready to unleash their fifth studio album Ashes, set for release on October 9via PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music, and celebrate the announcement with their brand-new video single “Joker”. The band has further revealed co-headline tour dates with INDUCTION; find all dates listed below!
About the new single, guitarist Nick Johansson remembers; “In 2015 I randomly stumbled across a clip of Franzl Lang. I was seriously impressed by how insanely good he was at yodeling, so I went through a short Franzl phase. Not long after that I was standing by a lake with a perfect echo and decided to try a little yodel myself. It sounded absolutely terrible, of course but, I immediately understood the technique. Since then I’ve only yodeled for fun now and then. Somehow, after almost 10 years of casual nonsense-yodeling, it has quietly improved on its own.”
Lead singer Mike Anderssonadds: “Joker is a real stompy banger! I’ll never forget the reactions from our friends and partners at Reigning Phoenix Music when we played them the demo over dinner in Stuttgart. The excitement around the table was amazing.
Following a strong entry into the metal scene with their 2019 debut We Will Rise and a steady rise through albums like Tundra, and Bliss, the band now return with a powerful new chapter. Between touring and live performances throughout 2025, TUNGSTEN focused on writing material for their upcoming album, aiming to create a worthy follow-up to 2024’s The Grand Inferno.
1. Joker 2. Bite My Tongue 3. Fuego Del Sol 4. Supernova 5. Happy 6. Ted The Exorcist 7. Sunshine Of Fall 8. The North Will Rise (feat. Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica) 9. For Thee 10. Ruin 11. The Forge
TUNGSTEN are: Mike Andersson – Lead Vocals Karl Johansson – Bass, Keyboards, Vocals Nick Johansson – Guitar Anders Johansson – Drums
Ashes sees TUNGSTEN continue their crusade, delivering irresistible metal with anthemic choruses and a fresh surge of energy that pushes their signature sound even further. The album captures everything the band stands for: powerful songwriting, massive hooks, and a dynamic mix of melody and heaviness that makes it one of their strongest and most focused releases to date!

Swedish metal band ELEINE return with their brand-new single “Empire Of Lies”! The first glimpse of their highly anticipated album set for release December 4th through RPM.
With “Empire Of Lies,” ELEINE channel a raw intensity that leaves a mark, both musically and lyrically. Driven by thunderous rhythms and heavy riffs, the song captures the suffocating weight of deception and the inevitable collapse of falsehood.
“Empire Of Lies” showcase the band’s signature blend of brutality and melody. Catchy yet heavy, dark yet empowering.
Founding members Rikard & Madeleine states:
“You may have asked yourself; “When will this end?” When being lied about it’s easy to feel as if one lie pops up after the next.
Overwhelming, hurtful and unreal. Some paint themselves as a martyr, savior and source of truth when in reality it is the exact opposite. You’re caught in the middle of this, the one who can clearly see through the deception and lies. But an empire built on lies cannot and will not stand the test of time. When the lies get too heavy the empire will fall, and truth is found in the remains. “Empire Of Lies” is energetic & powerful. It has a satisfying variety of rhythm, and we hope to hear the crowd chant along in the chorus on future live shows!” – Rikard & Madeleine
“Empire Of Lies” is out now on all major streaming platforms. Listen here: eleine.rpm.link/eol
Fans can listen to the the new single immediately and then join the official music video premiere on Monday, May 11 at 18:00 CEST. Save the premiere here: https://www.youtube.com/eleineofficial

With the blistering cacophony of 2024’s Loved By None, Hated By All still ringing in our ears, Danish death/metallic hardcore outfit strike back with a brand new single, “Die With Me.”
The track begins in full grind mode with the chant “die with me” driving the chaos before shifting into a fast hardcore section. The song keeps pushing forward before collapsing into breakdowns that grow slower and heavier toward the end, finishing in a massive closing breakdown that feels like the final moments of a live set. Lyrically, “Die With Me” is about meeting death head-on and refusing to go quietly.

The setlist blends tracks from Reptile House with timeless classics taken from Screams From the Gutter, offering a comprehensive snapshot of the band’s enduring impact and unmistakable identity. The result is a powerful testament to their role in shaping and spreading hardcore worldwide, as well as a vivid representation of their lasting relevance.

USDM veterans, LECHEROUS NOCTURNE are back with a vengeance. The band has just unleashed their first new track since 2018’s Occultaclysmic.
“Fission” obliterates LECHEROUS NOCTURNE’s eight-year hiatus with extreme force, delivering one of the most aggressive assaults in the band’s nearly 30 years of existence. Marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band, the song showcases a reinvigorated form of their trademark technical death metal chaos, further intensified with the addition of new vocalist Zach Jeter (Nile) to the fold.
“Once again Lecherous Nocturne has been inspired to release a series of songs representative of life’s horrors,”saysguitaristKreishloff Lofgren.“The music is proud, ferocious, fun to play, and focused. I’m personally very happy with the end result and look forward to the albums release.”
Zach Jeter offers his thoughts on the band’s new chapter. “Alongside my brothers in Lecherous Nocturne, we’ve compiled an uncompromisingly brutal slab of music that’s finally ready to unleash. I’m stoked and honored to be a part of it. The first single takes no prisoners and wastes no time kicking you in the teeth from the start. Still just a taste of whats to come.”
LECHEROUS NOCTURNE has tapped Metal Injection for the exclusive world premiere of the lyric video for “Fission.” Watch now at this location.
2026 promises to be the comeback year for LECHEROUS NOCTURNE, one that includes a spot at the Milwaukee Metal Fest, with additional live dates in the works. LECHEROUS NOCTURNE is slated to perform on Day 3 on the fest (June 7) alongside Ministry, John Bush, Napalm Death and more.
After years of silence, LECHEROUS NOCTURNE emerge sharper, heavier and more dangerous than ever. Be warned. The war machine has re-entered the battlefield.

Washington, DC death metal outfit GOETIA will release their debut full-length, Mortuary Cult, on June 12th via Carbonized Records.
GOETIA was forged in the Fall of 2022 by bassist/vocalist Matt Scott, guitarist Demir Soyer, and drummer Nadia Tydings-Lynch. Soyer and Scott previously played together in the DC death metal band Perpetuated, with Tydings-Lynch filling in on drums for their last show. Embracing the chemistry of this lineup led to the immediate founding of GOETIA following the performance.
Influenced by the likes of Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, and Kreator, GOETIA self-released their first EP in May of 2023 which was re-released on Persistent Vision Records followed by regular touring throughout the year.
The band’s second EP, Tomb Essence, dropped in 2024 via Heavy & Fast Records, and finally a 7” in 2025 on Voice Of The Cielago (run by Scott). These three EPs form a loose trilogy centered on occult themes, all recorded and mastered by Matt Michel (Viva Studio) and Will Killingsworth (Dead Air Studios) respectively.
This year’s Mortuary Cult LP was written and recorded during these years by the same team, amidst tours alongside Altars, Vastum, Healing Magic, and others. The debut full-length is more conceptually driven, featuring ten tracks inspired by experiences in an old cemetery in the Washington, DC suburbs. Musically the aim is the same; fast paced death metal with an abundance of guitar solos and blast beats.
In advance of the record’s release, today the band unleashes the title track and first single. Scott elaborates, “‘Mortuary Cult,’ along with all the tracks on this album, was inspired by a local cemetery I used to visit frequently. Cemeteries are very peaceful places but also have a strange feeling of being liminal spaces. People come to them for a variety of reasons, so each song on the album is meant to represent the feeling of a particular trip. For this track, I was exploring the idea of people visiting for a sinister purpose, the worship of the dead through ritual. This was one of the first tracks written for the album, and the speed and structure helped define the tone of the entire record.”
Mortuary Cult was recorded by Matt Michel at Viva Studio and mixed by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios with cover artwork by Chris Taylor and logo by Matt Scott.
Mortuary Cult will be released on CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats.

Performing at Loud As Hell Open Air Festival 2026 w/ Fallujah, Allegaeon, Summoning the Lich, Crimson Shadows, Edge of Paradise, and more!
Fresh off the release of their debut album This Is The Way, West Coast extreme‑metal force Gravemass has announced a run of Western Canadian tour dates for summer 2026. The trek, appropriately titled “This Is The Way Tour 2026,” will see the band unleash their ferocious live assault across British Columbia and Alberta from July 31st to August 8th (dates listed below).
The tour follows the eruption of This Is The Way, a debut forged from decades of West Coast metal lineage. Featuring members of Zimmers Hole, Punch Drunk, 3 Inches of Blood, Revocation, Just Cause, West of Hell, Savannah, Process, Subversion, and The Golers, Gravemass is the convergence of long‑standing forces within Vancouver’s extreme‑music underground.
Guitarist Mayan Hate, who wrote the album’s music in an intense two‑month burst, describes the project as a natural evolution among lifelong friends.
“We’re all West Coast metal heads who’ve known each other for decades. I wrote the music between breaks in other projects and showed it to Lorde Heathen. He immediately wanted in. From there, we recruited the rest of the band, guys we’ve all known forever.”
Vocalist Lorde Heathen also adds;
“Brutal, angry, fast, dark, and evil, this album delivers exactly that: an unrelenting barrage of sinister riffing, death‑metal vocal ferocity, and rhythmic devastation. It draws from the chaos of the modern world. All the lyrics come from the shit‑hole world order that exists right now.”
Track Listing: 1. Slaves To Pain – 2:38 2. This Is The Way – 3:45 3. Horned King – 2:54 4. Harvest of Souls – 2:53 5. Spitting Hell – 2:07 6. Black Bell – 2:50 7. Fallen – 3:27 8. Gravemass – 3:51 9. Abandon – 2:01 10. Poison Temple – 3:11 Album Length: 29:41
While This Is The Way was written by Mayan Hate with lyrics by Lorde Heathen, the band confirms that album two is already underway and will be a fully collaborative effort.
Gravemass will also appear at Loud As Hell Open Air Festival 2026, joining a stacked lineup featuring Fallujah, Allegaeon, Summoning the Lich, Crimson Shadows, Edge of Paradise, and more. Festival info is available at: https://www.loudashell.ca.
Known for channeling the ferocity of their influences, Slayer, Venom, Morbid Angel, Watain, and Napalm Death, Gravemass promises a live show that is nothing short of a full‑scale assault.
“The live show is where we bring it all together. We want to bring this experience to the masses,” says Lorde Heathen.
With This Is The Way unleashed March 6, 2026, via End Game Records Inc., Gravemass now turns its focus to the stage, marking the beginning of a new chapter in West Coast extreme metal. More music, more brutality, and a deeper collaborative evolution lie ahead.

With their new album It Takes The Village arriving May 8th, New Jersey heavy metal powerhouse WHO ON EARTH continue the momentum with the release of their latest single and video, “Shadows” – a towering anthem packed with galloping riffs, soaring harmonies and the band’s signature no-frills approach to modern heavy metal.
The third single from the forthcoming album, “Shadows” channels the spirit of classic metal while reinforcing the band’s sharp lyrical perspective. Built on thunderous grooves, dual guitar harmonies, and an arena-ready chorus, the track delivers both nostalgia and urgency in equal measure.
Bassist Pete Rizzi comments:
“‘Shadows’ is our third single from It Takes The Village, and it truly epitomizes what we are all about. It’s got that old school metal vibe with a catchy chorus, guitar harmonies reminiscent of old Maiden & Priest, and a locked-in rhythm section. The lyrics also speak to a concept we touch on quite often: deception and the need to be vigilant about what you see, hear, read, eat, watch, etc., because there are a lot of bad actors trying to profit from us through manipulation, deceit, and outright lies. We don’t write love songs. Ha!”
“Shadows” follows the previously released singles “Vigilance” and “Any Other Way,” both of which offered fans an early glimpse into the sonic force of It Takes The Village—WHO ON EARTH’s most dynamic and fully realized record to date.
WHO ON EARTH will kick off a string of shows with FOZZY beginning later this week.

Debut album “Spirit” to be released in May via The Circle Music
Heavy gothic rock band Blossom Death have released the next single and video, “Morning After”, off their upcoming debut album Spirit, which will be out on 21 May 2026 via The Circle Music.
Following the release of the first single “Stone Kiss” (Stream/Video), “Morning After” explores the psychological and emotional weight of reaching a breaking point. According to the band, the song centres on the concept that “when your soul hits its lowest point, then and only then, your real core can be exposed”.
Lyrically, the song navigates themes of addiction, deception, and the stark reality of the morning after a personal disaster. The track features the band’s signature blend of heavy, driving riffs and the atmospheric vocal interplay between Kostas “Corax” Katoikos and Marita Makaronidi, highlighting the band’s focus on “affection of shame” and the search for redemption through pain.
Formed in late 2018 in Varkiza, Greece, Blossom Death was established by former Sorrowful Angels frontman and lyricist Kostas “Corax” Katoikos, alongside Marita Makaronidi and drummer Argy Deligianopoulos. After debuting with the EP Mistaken in 2019, the band spent the following years expanding their line-up and refining a sound that balances heavy guitar riffs with atmospheric, melodic arrangements. 2023 saw the band release a splitEP, Eon Must Fail, with In Burial.
The upcoming album, Spirit, is a move towards more complex, emotionally charged dynamics. The tracks lean into the contrast between dark, introspective melodies and high-intensity instrumental sections, reflecting the band’s focus on themes of transformation and depth.
