Chilean death metallers ROTTEN TOMB present today their new single “Here Lies Death”, with the exclusive premiere hosted by Mystification Zine. The track offers a new glimpse into the band’s upcoming third full-length album Vestiges of Tortured Souls, due for release on June 6th, 2026 via Nuclear Winter Records, available on LP, CD and cassette.

“Here Lies Death” showcases a more refined and focused evolution of the band’s sound, while preserving the raw intensity and underground conviction that have defined their identity. Formed in 2016 in Iquique, ROTTEN TOMB have steadily risen as one of the most compelling acts within the South American extreme metal scene, blending death metal with doom-laden atmospheres and occult undertones. LECHEROUS NOCTURNE Return With New Single, “Fission”

USDM veterans, LECHEROUS NOCTURNE are back with a vengeance. The band has just unleashed their first new track since 2018’s Occultaclysmic.

“Fission” obliterates LECHEROUS NOCTURNE’s eight-year hiatus with extreme force, delivering one of the most aggressive assaults in the band’s nearly 30 years of existence. Marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band, the song showcases a reinvigorated form of their trademark technical death metal chaos, further intensified with the addition of new vocalist Zach Jeter (Nile) to the fold.

“Once again Lecherous Nocturne has been inspired to release a series of songs representative of life’s horrors,”says guitarist Kreishloff Lofgren.“The music is proud, ferocious, fun to play, and focused. I’m personally very happy with the end result and look forward to the albums release.”

GOETIA: DC Death Metallers To Release Mortuary Cult Debut Full-Length June 12th On Carbonized Records ~ New Video/Single Now Playing + Preorders Available

Washington, DC death metal outfit GOETIA will release their debut full-length, Mortuary Cult, on June 12th via Carbonized Records.

GOETIA was forged in the Fall of 2022 by bassist/vocalist Matt Scott, guitarist Demir Soyer, and drummer Nadia Tydings-Lynch. Soyer and Scott previously played together in the DC death metal band Perpetuated, with Tydings-Lynch filling in on drums for their last show. Embracing the chemistry of this lineup led to the immediate founding of GOETIA following the performance.

Influenced by the likes of Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, and Kreator, GOETIA self-released their first EP in May of 2023 which was re-released on Persistent Vision Records followed by regular touring throughout the year.

The band’s second EP, Tomb Essence, dropped in 2024 via Heavy & Fast Records, and finally a 7” in 2025 on Voice Of The Cielago (run by Scott). These three EPs form a loose trilogy centered on occult themes, all recorded and mastered by Matt Michel (Viva Studio) and Will Killingsworth (Dead Air Studios) respectively.

This year’s Mortuary Cult LP was written and recorded during these years by the same team, amidst tours alongside Altars, Vastum, Healing Magic, and others. The debut full-length is more conceptually driven, featuring ten tracks inspired by experiences in an old cemetery in the Washington, DC suburbs. Musically the aim is the same; fast paced death metal with an abundance of guitar solos and blast beats.

In advance of the record’s release, today the band unleashes the title track and first single. Scott elaborates, “‘Mortuary Cult,’ along with all the tracks on this album, was inspired by a local cemetery I used to visit frequently. Cemeteries are very peaceful places but also have a strange feeling of being liminal spaces. People come to them for a variety of reasons, so each song on the album is meant to represent the feeling of a particular trip. For this track, I was exploring the idea of people visiting for a sinister purpose, the worship of the dead through ritual. This was one of the first tracks written for the album, and the speed and structure helped define the tone of the entire record.”

ENDSEEKER – German Death Metal Hellraisers To Release Farewell EP, Coffin Born, On June 19th via Metal Blade Records ~ New Video/Single Now Playing + Preorders Available

After twelve years of seeking, German death metal hellraisers ENDSEEKER have finally found the end. The fiery Coffin Born EP, set for release on June 19th via Metal Blade Records, will mark the final chapter as a band.

“We’ve accomplished more than we have ever imagined in our wildest dreams,” reflects the band, in a celebratory mood. “We played with fantastic bands, played super-cool festivals, and released four albums and two EPs of which we are extremely proud. We were blessed with great and loyal fans and managed to stay a consistent lineup throughout our whole career.”

“But after grinding for more than a decade and dedicating so much time and energy to this band, we feel like it’s time to move on to other projects. We wanted to end this band like we started, as very good friends. We started with an EP and we end it with an EP. It just feels right to do this now, while we still have the power to deliver a great farewell performance as well in the studio as on stage.”

Since their 2015 debut EP Corrosive Revelation, each release has hoisted the Hamburg quintet further up the death metal mountain, with Mount Carcass (2021) and Global Worming (2023) receiving widespread acclaim. Their soft spot for novelty cheese recurs on Coffin Born in a glorious David Hasselhoff cover, “True Survivor.”

In advance of the record’s release, ENDSEEKER presents the EP’s opening track and first single, “Enemies Of Peace.” The band comments, “This is a straight banger with some hardcore and crust vibes. This song grooves like hell and has a very raw and kinda punk attitude. Not only the anti-fascist lyrics, but also musically. It’s very powerful by any means with a strong and bold message.”

BIO:

Ditheist was formed in 2006 in Chicago, Illinois, emerging from the underground with a singular goal: pure, unfiltered death metal destruction. Their 2008 debut EP Seduction of Demons quickly gained traction through strong reviews and airplay, establishing the band as a serious force within the scene.

Forged by founding members Konrad Lysak, Narcyz Fortuna, and John Gunerka, Ditheist refined their sound through years of relentless writing and lineup evolution, including the addition of vocalist Luke Voelz in 2014. Their full-length assault Eternity of Nothingness was unleashed in 2015, later releasing additional physical releases, and drew heavily from the ferocity and precision of genre pillars such as Atheist, Decapitated, Behemoth, and Vader.

Rising death metal force Sanaga will take the stage at SONUM Fest 2026 on May 16th as part of the three‑day festival running May 15–17. NECROCCULTUS was formed in 2003 as a five-piece band consisting of César (guitar), Omar (bass), Chago (guitar), Daniel (drums), and Isaías (growls). During the following three years, this original line-up recorded several releases, including the brutal full-length Encircling The Mysterious Necrorevelation (2005) for Sempiternal Productions (US), a 7” EP for Blood Harvest Records (Sweden), a three-way split CD with Sanctifier and Throneum on Warfuck Records (Colombia), and a split LP with Shub-Niggurath released by Iron Bonehead Productions (Germany).

In 2024, founding member Isaías H. reactivated NECROCCULTUS alongside a new line-up: Roel (guitar), Néstor (bass), Alex (guitar), Dante (drums), and Isaías (growls). After performing several live shows, the band entered the studio between July and October 2025 to record their new abominable full-length, The Afterdeath Blackness, featuring eight tracks of bestial, unholy death metal.

The Afterdeath Blackness was recorded, mixed and mastered at MAT Studio.

The June 2026 three-week trek will take the group through East Asia, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. “Watch You Fold” is the latest single from UK technical death metal practitioners INGESTED. The track features guest vocals from John Gallagher of Dying Fetus and comes by way of the band’s Denigration full-length, set for release on May 8th, via Metal Blade Records.

For nearly two decades, Manchester’s INGESTED have stood as one of the UK’s most uncompromising forces in extreme metal. Champions of a sound that fuses precision brutality with increasingly dynamic songwriting, they’ve evolved from underground slam pioneers into a globally recognized, forward-driving powerhouse.

With Denigration, the band begins a bold new chapter, one defined by reinvention, sharpened purpose and the arrival of new voices at the helm.

At the core of this evolution remains founding members Sean Hynes (guitars, co-vocals) and Lyn Jeffs (drums), the creative backbone whose vision, chemistry, and relentless drive have powered INGESTED since day one. NECROT Signs To Metal Blade Records ~ Band To Appear On Decibel Magazine Tour 2026

Oakland death metal trio, NECROT, has officially joined the Metal Blade Records roster, marking a powerful new chapter for one of the underground’s most distinguished death metal bands! The signing coincides with NECROT’s upcoming appearance on the 2026 edition of the Decibel Magazine Tour.

The band comments, “It is extremely exciting to announce that NECROT has signed with Metal Blade Records! We’ve been a band for 15 years making death metal the way we want to and Metal Blade has been here for almost 45 years supporting extreme metal bands from all over the world. We feel confident that this new chapter will be great for us and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on for our next album! Death Metal Horde, FUNEBRARUM, Announces New Album, Beckoning The Void Of Eternal Silence, out May 29th | Stream First Single, “Anhela Odor Mortuorum (The Adepts)”

New Jersey death metal stalwarts FUNEBRARUM have announced their long-awaited third full-length album, Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence, set for release on May 29th via Pulverised Records.

Marking the band’s first new material in seven years, the record sees the revered underground outfit return with their most fully realized and crushing work to date, reaffirming their status as torchbearers of classic, doom-laden death metal steeped in the spirit of the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Commenting on the record the band states: 

“We, Funebrarum are stoked to be sharing our third offering, ‘Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence’ with the world. We are proud of the work overall and the final result. We look forward to desecrating stages worldwide with the new material.”

Formed in 1999, FUNEBRARUM built a devoted following through their acclaimed releases Beneath the Columns of Abandoned Gods and The Sleep of Morbid Dreams, later resurfacing in 2015 with a revitalized lineup and the Exhumation of the Ancient EP. After years of writing across continents and a pandemic-era hiatus, the band now return with Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence, recorded between Portland, OR and Edison, NJ with engineer Steven Di Acutis, delivering their signature cavernous sound at its most ominous.

Today, the gruesome five-piece unveils the first taste of the record with the single “Anhela Odor Mortuorum (The Adepts),” a suffocating descent into morbid atmosphere, heaving riffs, and sepulchral intensity that signals FUNEBRARUM’s triumphant return.

“‘Anhela Odor Mortuorum (The Adepts)’ is a track we completed while on tour in Mexico several years ago. The song was written, mostly, by our bassist, Winslow. It is a great track that we enjoy playing live. It outlines the ancient journey of an occultist deep in connection to and in contemplation of, the shadowed mysteries.”

About FUNEBRARUM: 

Funebrarum is an American death metal band formed in Clifton, New Jersey, in April 1999 by underground veterans, vocalist Daryl Kahan (Citizens Arrest, formerly of Assück and Born Against), guitarist Nick Orlando (Evoken), drummer Dario Derna (Evoken, Infester), and bassist David Wagner (Evoken).

Renowned for their dark, crushing sound blending classic American death metal with late ’80s and early ’90s European influences, the band released their debut full-length, Beneath the Columns of Abandoned Gods, in 2001 via Necroharmonic Productions to widespread underground acclaim.

Lineup changes followed, with Alex Bouks (Immolation) and Shawn Eldridge joining for live activity. Their 2009 sophomore album, The Sleep of Morbid Dreams, released by Cyclone Empire, further cemented Funebrarum’s reputation as masters of old school death metal, leading to successful European tours and festival appearances before another period of reduced activity as members pursued other projects.

The band resurfaced in 2015 when Kahan joined forces with guitarist Samuel Osborne, assembling a new lineup featuring Charles Koryn, Kyle Winslow, and Phil Tougas. This incarnation released the internationally praised Exhumation of the Ancient EP in 2016 and toured Europe with acts such as Interment and Undergang.

Writing continued across North America and Europe, culminating in 2019’s third full-length, Beckoning the Void of Eternal Silence, recorded between Portland, Oregon and Edison, New Jersey with engineer Steven Di Acutis and guest leads from Patrik Fernlund (Gorement).

After a pandemic-era hiatus, the album is scheduled for release in May 2026 via Pulverised Records, preceded by an April split 7” with Pestigore. Funebrarum will mark their return to the stage at Killtown Deathfest in Copenhagen in September 2026, followed by additional European touring.

Vinyl Maxi-Single To Be Released May 1st On 20 Buck Spin + Decibel Magazine Tour Nears

Coming on the heels of the band’s most successful LP, 2024’s Duck Face Killings, FULCI return with a special 12” maxi-single serving as the soundtrack to the short film Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L’Apocalisse! (“They Rose From the Tomb and It Was… The Apocalypse!”).

Created in collaboration with director Domenico Montixi, the 30-minute film merges paranormal horror with Spaghetti Western atmosphere, drawing direct inspiration from Lucio Fulci’s City Of The Living Dead and Four Of The Apocalypse. The film is set to begin its international festival run soon, with a trailer premiering at FULCICON 2 in Milan, the event organized by the band FULCI to celebrate Lucio Fulci and Italian genre cinema.

The maxi-single features a suite of new FULCI compositions that drift between eerie, cinematic soundscapes evoking the Lovecraftian aura of Fulci’s films, and the band’s signature gore-giallo death metal.

It also includes a special cover of Fabio Frizzi’s “Apoteosi Del Mistero” from City Of The Living Dead. Risorsero dalla Tomba e Fu… L’Apocalisse! further expands the band’s cinematic universe where extreme music and cult horror collide, serving as a uniquely atmospheric release bridging Duck Face Killings, the band’s relentless touring schedule, and the eventual arrival of their fifth full-length album.

Produced by FULCI, recorded at Spvn, mixed and mastered by Stefano Santi, and completed with cover art by Lucas Ruggieri, title card by Caterina Solinas, and layout/design by ascionemagro, the record features guest vocals on “Apoteosi Del Mistero” by Nate Garrett (Spirit Adrift, Neon Nightmare).
