“Fresh on the heels of our successful tour with Alestorm and Twilight Force, we are now back home and ready to find a new, permanent singer for Greyhawk.

We are looking for someone who can sing cleanly with style and gravitas. Whatever your range is, we can work with it. But you need to be able to deliver the goods in that range, and be a dynamic singer both in the studio and on stage live. We are not just looking for a singer, we want someone to be the front person for this band.

Our plans include a new album, shows, tours, festivals, you name it! If you are looking to get on board with a band who wants to get out and do cool things as much as possible, then we are the band for you.

International tours are needed so a clean record and a passport is required as well as the availability to get on the road and tour for weeks on end.

Gender, location – all not deciding factors for us. Just be a cool human who wants to rock. All level of experience considered.

SEVEN KINGDOMS has launched their crowdfunding campaign for their sixth full-length album, Sono Sola. The forthcoming release was recorded at Morrisound Recording during April and May 2026 alongside producer Jim Morris (SAVATAGE, WARRANT, DEATH). Francesco Cavalieri (WIND ROSE, V.B.O.) also joined the project as co-producer. 

The album artwork for Sono Sola was designed and created by Bo Bradshaw. Further details including Sono Sola‘s track list will be revealed once the crowdfunding campaign closes on June 26, 2026. 

Vocalist Sabrina Cruz comments on the crowdfunding campaign launch: “Today is the day we unveil all the cool things we have that will support the release of the new album! Because we choose crowdfunding, we as a band get to be very hands on with the products that we produce for the release of this album. Their much-waited new studio offering Stories From The Verdant Vale sees MOB RULES return to the narrative world introduced with their latest album Rise Of The Ruler (2025), which was widely praised and marked a major milestone in the band’s career. The material originates from songs written during the final stages of those sessions, now presented as a special standalone release.

As vocalist Klaus Dirks recently said:
“During the final stages of completing the album, we discussed possible bonus material for the earbook edition with the label. We were reluctant to use demo versions or similar material. This motivated us to write a few new songs. We were well aware of what we were getting ourselves into, but we also wanted to challenge ourselves a little.”

The songs reveal a slightly more direct and compact approach compared to Rise Of The Ruler, while staying true to the band’s signature blend of melodic power metal, atmosphere and storytelling. Expanding the original concept from a different perspective, the material forms a natural extension of Rise Of The Ruler, while each track also stands strong on its own.

Originally conceived in part as exclusive material, Stories From The Verdant Vale will now receive a proper release on vinyl and digital platforms due to high demand. The record was mixed by Markus Teske, with artwork created by Stan W. Decker.

SEVEN KINGDOMS Announces 6th Full Length Album Sono Sola ~ Crowdfunding Campaign Launching On May 26th

SEVEN KINGDOMS has announced their 6th full length record Sono Sola. The band will return to their long established crowdfunding model with a plan to release the record in the fall. The crowdfunding campaign will launch on May 26th and run until June 26th. 

Guitarist Camden Cruz shares, “We are really excited for this record! We took a lot of new chances on this record and got to spend a lot more time working on it. The record contains the soul of this band. We bring the highest level and heaviest release of our career to you with this album. We worked again with Jim Morris who wrote and produced the record with us. We also worked on the record with Francesco Cavalieri who also helped produce songs with us on this album. Sabrina is at the top of her game and the band is firing on all cylinders. It will be your favorite Seven Kingdoms album. We cannot wait to share this with you!”

Producer Jim Morris comments, “This is the most melodic and heaviest Seven Kingdoms record that we have ever done. We got to spend more time than ever working on the music. I am very excited for this new music and I believe it’s going to open a lot of new doors for the band!” 

Sono Sola was recorded at Morrisound Recording in April and May 2026 with Jim Morris (SAVATAGE, WARRANT, DEATH). SEVEN KINGDOMS wrote the record together with Jim Morris, who also produced the record along with co-producer Francesco Cavalieri (WIND ROSE). The album artwork for Sono Sola was done by Bo Bradshaw. The Track listing will be released at the end of the Crowdfunding Campaign along with more news.

New CHASTAIN “The Voice of the Cult” Reissue Available NOW!

Founded in 1984, Chastain emerged as a powerhouse of American heavy metal, driven by the neoclassical precision of guitar virtuoso David T. Chastain. Based in Cincinnati, the band became a cornerstone of the Shrapnel Records era, a time when technical proficiency and “shred” guitar were reaching their zenith. Unlike many of their contemporaries who focused solely on instrumental flair, Chastain prioritized songcraft, blending intricate, sophisticated guitar work with the grit of what would become known years later as power metal.

A defining element of the band’s identity and their greatest weapon is the legendary vocalist Leather Leone. At a time when the metal scene was overwhelmingly male-dominated, Leone established herself as one of the most powerful and commanding voices in the genre.

Her performance on The Voice of the Cult remains a masterclass in metal vocals, characterized by a rasping, aggressive delivery that never sacrifices melody. Her chemistry with David T. Chastain’s darkening compositions elevated the band from a technical project to a true cult icon of the underground.

Originally released in 1988 and now re-issued by Nameless Grave Records, The Voice of the Cult is widely regarded as one of the best works in the genre and the title track has stood the test of time to be considered a true heavy metal anthm. This definitive CD reissue features an all-new layout and a 16-page booklet including insightful liner notes by Sarah Kitteringham. To further cement its status as an essential artifact of 80s heavy metal, the release includes two bonus demo tracks, featuring one unreleased song that has never been heard by fans until now.

Japanese power metal vocalist Saeko is set to return to the stage with two exclusive shows in Japan this May, under the banner “SAEKO LIVE IN JAPAN 2026”, while also revealing the upcoming release of her new EP, Back to Life, scheduled for July 18, 2026.

The two special events will take place in Osaka (May 12, Panhead Groove) and Tokyo (May 14, SUNRIZE) and will feature a unique format combining a talk session and an exclusive live showcase, including the performance of two songs from the upcoming EP.

These concerts represent a rare and exciting collaboration between artists from different musical traditions, bringing together European melodic power metal and the rich heritage of Japanese neoclassical metal.

The live line-up for these shows includes: Saeko Kitamae on vocals, Guido Benedetti (Trick or Treat) on guitars, Masashi Okagaki on keyboards (Terra Rosa, Jill’s Project, Aphrodite) and Kaz Nakamura on bass (Kelly Simon’s Blind Faith, Rachel Mother Goose).

The presence of legendary keyboardist Masashi Okagaki, a key figure in Japan’s neoclassical metal scene and leader of Terra Rosa, adds a distinctive and historically significant element to the performances, while bassist Kaz Nakamura brings his experience and technical mastery to complete a powerful and dynamic line-up.

Saeko is widely recognized as a pioneering artist in the international metal scene. Originally from Osaka, she moved to Germany in the early 2000s to pursue her musical career, collaborating with prominent European musicians and releasing her debut album Above Heaven Below Heavenin 2004. That same year, she toured Europe with metal icon Doro Pesch, and in 2005 she made history as the first Asian female artist to perform at Wacken Open Air, the world’s largest heavy metal festival. Following her second album Life (2006), Saeko returned in 2021 with Holy Are We Alone, marking a powerful comeback after a long hiatus and reaffirming her unique artistic identity: Melodic Power Metal with emotional depth and a cross-cultural perspective.

Now, with the upcoming EP Back to Life, Saeko continues to build on her legacy, connecting past and present through a renewed creative vision.

“With ‘Celebrate Youth,’ we chose a song that meant a lot to me personally in my early Youth,” Andy B. Franck reveals. “Yes, not a metal song but a song that perfectly reflected that era and my feeling as a young person of wanting to achieve a lot. Listening to the younger generation, giving them a voice… I don’t think I’ve ever really matured that much deep down, I’ve retained that feeling and still think and feel like a young guy. Finnish power metal pioneers SONATA ARCTICA have unleashed a brand-new single titled “Freedom Concept.” The track arrives as a powerful statement in the band’s 30th anniversary year, followed by an extensive touring schedule, and delivers the melodic intensity and energy fans have come to expect.

“Freedom Concept” captures the signature blend of soaring melodies, driving rhythms and emotional depth that has defined SONATA ARCTICA for three decades. At the same time, the song explores a thoughtful and timely subject: the complex idea of freedom and the responsibility that comes with it.

Frontman Tony Kakko comments: ”Freedom Concept”, a song about understanding and misunderstanding the concept of freedom, often forgetting it comes paired with responsibility, and how what ever values and thoughts you may have are not automatically transferred to your offspring and how in most cases that’s an effin great thing…(breath in) has been sitting on my desk for a while and we figured this kind of melodic power metal blast we’re known of would be a good way to celebrate the 30th anniversary ”tourette” we’ve started at the end of January 2026 WHILST also working on our next studio album. This song’s NOT gonna be on it. So…extra special snack in between meals. Enjoy!”

Swedish modern power metal force METALITE have officially signed a worldwide contract with PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music, marking a major new milestone in the band’s rapidly ascending career!

Following the signing, the band have unleashed their brand-new single, “Our Time Has Come”, a high-energy anthem that showcases everything fans have come to expect from METALITE: massive melodies, driving riffs, and a futuristic edge wrapped in razor-sharp production.

ABOUT METALITE:

Formed in 2015 by guitarist Edwin Premberg and vocalist Emma Bensing, the band quickly gained recognition for its fresh and modern take on melodic metal and their 2017 debut album Heroes in Time set the stage for METALITE’s rise.

In 2019, the band entered a new era with Biomechanicals, marking the debut of vocalist Erica Ohlsson. Their evolution continued with A Virtual World in 2021, an album that expanded on their sci-fi themes while delivering massive soundscapes and powerful melodies.

With Expedition One (2024), METALITE embarked on their most ambitious project to date. A visionary concept album set in the year 2055, it tells the story of a renegade team searching for a new world, exploring themes of human evolution, technology, and survival.

In 2024, the band welcomed drummer Erik Junttila to the lineup, bringing new energy and power to their sound. His premiere gig with the band took place in Linköping at the beginning of 2025, marking an exciting new chapter in METALITE’s journey.
