SLAYER - Lamb Of God - Anthrax - Behemoth - tour flyer - 2018 - #333MO8383ILMNTG

BEHEMOTH, along with Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Testament, all bands who have close ties to and have shared the stage multiple times with Slayer over the years, will accompany the band on leg one, North America, of what will be Slayer’s final world tour. The trek begins May 10th when a twenty-six-date odyssey will have them crisscrossing the country, from San Diego to Toronto, Orlando to Minneapolis. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, January 26th; log onto for all ticketing info.

“If you are lucky enough to be invited to play even just once with living legends like Slayer, it’s an incredible honor. Slayer gave Lamb Of God our very first two overseas shows. Slayer has subsequently taken us on several full-length tours, both at home and abroad. The guys in Slayer and their crew have also always been very, very cool to our band. It is irrefutable that Slayer helped create the genre of aggressive metal, and all modern bands of that ilk owe them a huge debt – I know we do. To be asked to be a part of their final tour – well, it just makes you stop and realize just how lucky you are. Hail Slayer! We’ll see you on the road…” – Randy Blythe, Lamb Of God

“It’s truly an honor to be on Slayer’s final tour. Anthrax and Slayer have toured together for decades, we are family, band and crew, so we want to help give Slayer the best send-off possible, and to have one last blast with our friends. But you know, at the end of the day, Slayer will never die.” – Frank Bello, Anthrax

“Well, well, well… the dream comes true AGAIN it seems. BEHEMOTH will be teaming up with mighty Slayer again for another extensive North American run later this year! Nothing short of epic if you ask me! I cannot wait to confront American legions again before we unleash the new record. One of the biggest metal tours this year: Testament, BEHEMOTH, Anthrax, Lamb Of God and Slayer. Can you miss it out? FUCK NO!” – Nergal, BEHEMOTH

“Sharing the stage with Slayer once again is going to be an honor, and to be a part of the final tour is going to be a special privilege for us. Slayer has influenced so many aggressive bands in their career. This tour will be an epic time for all who attend. Do yourself a favor and clear your calendars when this show comes to town. This will be your last chance to see a tour like this. Get ready North America for the devastation.” – Chuck Billy, Testament

Chilean Thrashers NUCLEAR have released a new video, covering DEATH’s classic “Evil Dead.” Originally released 29 years ago and given NUCLEAR’s extreme makeover,  the video includes tour footage, as well as shots from the recording sessions of the band’s latest release Formula For Anarchy (Candlelight Records 2015). Check out the video below or at:

NUCLEAR had this to say about the video: “It is just our humble tribute to one of the greatest musicians metal music had the opportunity to listen. Chuck Schuldiner’s indelible mark is still influencing tons of new metal acts around the world and Scream Bloody Gore was one hell of a start for all of us”

NUCLEAR is currently working on new material and a new album is expected to be released in 2017 by Candlelight/Spinefarm Records.

Formula for Anarchy, the ferocious new album from  NUCLEAR, is out now on Candlelight Records. Purchase and/or stream tracks at:

SINISTER “Dark Memorials” – A Metal Odyssey Album Review

Sinister - Dark Memorials - promo album cover pic - 2015 - #33MMNSS24

5 Out Of 5 METAL Fists!

European Death Metal warriors, SINISTER, have released their new studio album of cover songs, Dark Memorials, this past Summer via Massacre Records. Man, this offering of Death Metal from SINISTER is a dandy! In all Metal honesty, I already have Dark Memorials reserved for a spot in Metal Odyssey’s Top Ten Metal Albums Of 2015 list. Dark Memorials destroys! There are tons of Thrash(ness) on this album to satisfy fans of the old-school style, while the raging Death Metal is nothing short of stunning. Seriously, my Metal brethren!

The cover of the Carcass classic Exhume To Consume is breathtaking, even with some flashy keyboards making a brief appearance. Yes, keyboards. From Bolt Thrower to Autopsy, with Kreator and Death in-between, this is a cover song album to hunger for! SINISTER have given these Metal classics all the Metal respect they so importantly deserve. Hell, there’s no better way to give thanks and praise to such legends of Metal, as SINISTER has done on Dark Memorials.

Sinister - promo band pic - 2015 - #MO33MNSS99799

Adrie Kloosterwaard on vocals is a Death Metal monster! Shit, what more can be said. The entire band gets my seal of Death Metal approval for their ear blistering performance on this Dark Memorials album. I have listened to Dark Memorials constantly since September and I’m never gonna stop recommending this album. Dark Memorials is one of the best cover song albums I’ve ever enjoyed in my Metal life! My favorite song on this album? All. Okay, it’s the cover of Autopsy’s Ridden With Disease. Metal be thy name. – Stone

Taking their name from a Neil Young lyric – ‘All those rough boys, playin’ that rock and roll’, this four track ripper full of aggression and emotion is the follow-up to 2012′s Speed and 2011′s Spithead, sure to leave you in both shock and awe while forcing you to press ‘Play’ again and again.
