German power metal force STORMHAMMER have released the official music video for their brand-new single Wrath Of The Hammer”, the title track of the band’s upcoming studio offering.

With “Wrath Of The Hammer”, STORMHAMMER deliver a powerful first glimpse of their forthcoming album and once again prove why they remain one of the most consistent and exciting acts in the European power metal scene. The title track combines massive riffs, epic melodies and the band’s unmistakable energy into a modern metal anthem rooted in classic heavy metal spirit.

Phil Meyer (guitar, backing vocals) comments:
“Tracks like Wrath of the Hammer perfectly represent the album’s direction, aggressive downstrokes, fast power chords and epic melodic moments coming together in a very classic yet modern Heavy Metal way.”

Drummer Ashley Guest confirms“Wrath of the Hammer maintains the spirit of classic StormHammer while pushing the sound forward with a sharper and more aggressive edge.”

Following the acclaimed album Seven Seals, STORMHAMMER open a new chapter with Wrath Of The Hammer. The album combines traditional heavy metal roots with thrash-driven guitars, epic melodies and progressive elements while staying true to the band’s unmistakable identity.

“Wrath of the Hammer reflects all generations of Heavy Metal,” Phil Meyer says. “The old school, the melodic, the anthemic and the modern. That’s exactly who StormHammer are as a band today. We didn’t want the album to be purely melodic power metal. StormHammer has always had a more raw side, and we wanted to push that further by bringing in thrash elements, modern metal and even some ’90s punk roots without losing the band’s heavy metal identity.”

Vocalist M.Nox adds“We went into this album with the idea that we didn’t want to play it safe. We mixed in elements of Thrash, Symphonic and Classic Metal while keeping it true to StormHammer’s Power Metal roots. With this album, you will hear StormHammer in a way you have not heard before.”

Recorded at Mastersound Studio with producer Alexander Krull, the album delivers a massive production, atmospheric arrangements and renewed creative energy throughout, showcasing a band that continues to evolve while remaining a vital force in modern power metal!

Horst Tessmann (bass, backing vocals) reveals:
“Recording with Alex Krull was fantastic because we shared the same vision for how these songs should sound. He delivered a powerful and outstanding production. Wrath of the Hammer combines traditional Power Metal with Thrash Metal elements in a way that feels natural and energetic. The older I get, the faster and heavier I want the music to be.”

“This album feels honest and alive,” guitarist Christos Efstathiou states“We challenged ourselves creatively while staying true to what StormHammer is about. There’s power, emotion and adventure in these songs.”

He graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Santiago de Cuba before emigrating to the Dominican Republic in the early 1990s, where he played in several metal bands, including Necro, Divinis Invocat, and Los Recalcitrantes, and founded the country’s first rock/metal fanzine, Esperando El Final. After moving to the United States in the 2000s, he started writing for publications like MetalUnderground.com, This Is Metal Magazine, PureGrainAudio.com, among others.

Built on thunderous riffs, soaring melodies, and steel-clad rhythm, “Iron” channels the spirit of classic heavy metal while striking with sharpened modern force. It is a battle hymn for the unbreakable, a soundtrack for those who refuse to yield when the pressure rises.

“This one has been a long time coming, and we’re proud to finally unleash it into the wild. As you might have guessed, ‘Iron’ is a song about cultivating strength, embracing pain, and crushing everything that stands in your way,” states guitarist Bryce VanHoosen.

The official music video for “Iron” is now live HERE – a visual embodiment of that fire and fury. Turn the volume high. Let it shake the walls. Let it remind you what heavy metal is meant to feel like.

History:
Formed in 2017 from the ashes of acclaimed Pacific Northwest metal act Spellcaster, SILVER TALON emerged with a shared mission: keep the heavy metal flame burning bright.

Armed with a virtuosic triple-guitar attack, thunderous rhythm section, and the soaring vocals of Wyatt Howell (Sanctifyre), the band quickly established their sound with 2018 demo tracks “Devil Machine” and “Warrior’s End,” showcasing a potent mix of masterful hooks, lush melody, and technical firepower.

They expanded on that foundation with their self-released debut EP, ‘Becoming A Demon,’ featuring re-recorded demo tracks with producer Zack Ohren (Exmortus, Machine Head), three new originals, and a cover of Sanctuary’s “Battle Angels” with guest guitarist Jeff Loomis (Nevermore, Arch Enemy).

In May 2021, SILVER TALON released their M-Theory Audio debut, ‘Decadence and Decay’ — a masterclass in hook-driven, guitar-fueled heavy metal. Featuring cover art by renowned fantasy artist Gerald Brom and a guest appearance from King Diamond guitarist Andy La Rocque on “Resistance 2029,” the album drew widespread acclaim. Decibel wrote the band “sound absolutely immortal,” while Metal Injection praised their “killer” triple-guitar attack.

The band has since solidified their reputation as torchbearers of triumphant heavy metal with live performances alongside Exmortus, Savage Master, Unleash The Archers, Striker, Powerglove, Hatchet and more.

Helsinki-based progressive melodic death metal band NUMENTO unleashes their new single Wrath from their upcoming EP, a relentless, hard-hitting track exploring the dark side of human nature. Inspired by people forming abusive “relationships” with AI chatbots, the lyrics take the abuser’s perspective to question empathy, control, and violence in the digital age.

The band’s guitarists, Atte Asikainen and Aleksi Vehmassalo, tell a bit more about the new single. Aleksi states the following about composing and producing the song: “We started writing the song with the idea of making Numento’s heaviest song to date, one that would showcase our death metal influences. That’s what the song turned out to be, but we also added a few clean vocal phrases, albeit doubled with growls. Still, the song is our most aggressive song to date.”

Atte Asikainen continues about the production: “We continued the production together with German producer Chris Herrle to ensure that the world-class quality and impact familiar from our third album would also be present in the new music. However, this time we used less synths and focused more on the core sound of the band.”

About Erik Rutan – Producer | Guitarist | Visionary:

Erik Rutan is one of extreme metal’s most respected and multi-dimensional forces, renowned not only for his blistering guitar work and songwriting in legendary bands Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel, and Cannibal Corpse, but also as a prolific producer and founder of Mana Recording Studios, where he’s helped shape the sound of death metal for decades.

Rutan began his career in the late ‘80s with Ripping Corpse, appearing on their influential Dreaming With The Dead (1991), then playing as a touring guitarist with Morbid Angel for Covenant (1993). Rutan then joined permanently to record the classic albums Domination (1995), Entangled In Chaos (1996), and Gateways To Annihilation (2000). In 1997, he formed Hate Eternal, taking on guitar, vocals, and full creative control.

In 2002, Rutan left Morbid Angel to focus on Hate Eternal and Mana Recording Studios. The band’s discography: Conquering The ThroneKing Of All KingsI, MonarchThe Perilous Fight, Fury & FlamesPhoenix Amongst The AshesInfernus, and Upon Desolate Sands – has cemented Rutan’s reputation as a technical innovator and one of death metal’s most uncompromising architects.

Equally revered behind the console, Rutan opened his recording studio in 1999 and founded Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida. The studio has since become a premiere destination for extreme music, hosting sessions for a who’s who of death metal as well as other styles of music.

His production, engineering, and mixing credits include a staggering list of landmark albums: Cannibal Corpse (KillEvisceration PlagueTortureRed Before BlackViolence UnimaginedChaos Horrific), Goatwhore (A Haunting CurseCarving Out The Eyes Of GodBlood For The MasterConstricting Rage Of The Merciless), Krisiun (Conquerors Of ArmageddonForged In Fury), Soilent Green (Confrontation, Inevitable Collapse In The Presence Of Conviction), Madball (Empire, Rebellion), Into The Moat (The Design, The Campaign), Tombs (Savage Gold, The Grand Annihilation). Agnostic Front, The Mountain Goats, Vital Remains, Belphegor, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Rivers Of Nihil, Ether Coven, Aeon, Ephel Duath, Nile, Black Fast, Lizzy Borden, as well as the entire Hate Eternal catalog among many others.

In 2019, after years of collaboration, Rutan joined Cannibal Corpse as touring guitarist and then in 2021 became a full-time guitarist, making his recording debut as a member with Violence Unimagined and also Chaos Horrific. He contributed rhythm and lead guitar as well as songwriting on three tracks for each album, while also producing, engineering, and mixing the albums, earning widespread acclaim. “Erik’s influence and musical knowledge have elevated everything around us,” bassist Alex Webster said. “He brings a work ethic and vision that’s unmatched.”

Despite his commitments to Cannibal Corpse, Rutan remains devoted to Hate Eternal and Mana Recording Studios. “Hate Eternal is my life’s work,” he told Premier Guitar, “and producing – that’s where I channel a different part of my creativity. I want to help bands create the best version of themselves.” With a legacy that spans multiple roles and generations, Rutan continues to define and redefine the sound of extreme metal, both onstage and behind the scenes in the studio.

About Metal Blade Records:

Founded upon owner Brian Slagel‘s enduring drive to find great bands and get their music out to as many people as possible, since 1982 Metal Blade has brought wave after wave of powerful, innovative, and often genre-defining music to the ever-hungry metal masses. It is this ethos that has seen Metal Blade build up a stunning and diverse catalog, weather the various storms facing any independent label, and in an age of declining record sales boast the most successful years of its existence as it celebrates its fourth decade.

Metal Blade Records launched Metallica, Slayer, Armored Saint, Fates Warning, GWAR, Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cattle Decapitation, and dozens more genre giants, shaping four decades and counting of hard rock, metal, and extreme music culture. Brian Slagel worked as a record store clerk when he founded Metal Blade in 1982, reserving a spot for a young Lars Ulrich on his Metal Massacre compilation series.
