Pacific Northwest Death Metal legion Paralicyst have released their debut EP, Destruction of Sanity! Drawing inspiration from titans like Obituary, Malevolent Creation, and Cannibal Corpse, the band blends punishing riffs, crushing rhythms, and savage vocal assaults into a sound that feels both nostalgic and devastatingly fresh.

The new EP packages a range of styles within a traditional death metal framework. Old school and thrashing death, shades of the blackened and slamming intensity, it’s all here and it’s all devastating!

Forged in the chaos of 2019, Paralicyst emerged from the PNW metal scene with a mission to channel the raw power and uncompromising spirit of classic death metal.

The band’s early formation included guitarist Ray Eversole (Cruciation, Tormentium), bassist Nik Harris (Digitalviolence, Monday With A Bullet, In The Name of God), and drummer Greg Kholer (Gods in Graves, Cruciation, Father Figure, CIA Hippie Mind Control). In 2022 the lineup solidified with Lou of Malevolent Supremacy and Lude joining on vocals, further sharpening the band’s sonic assault.

In 2024, Mikey Murderz (Sakrificer, Innocent Blood) stepped in to take command of vocal duties, bringing a vicious new edge to the band’s sound, while also handling the recording, mixing, and mastering duties on the EP

Now operating with their strongest lineup yet, Paralicyst is poised to carve their mark into the underground with an unrelenting barrage of riffs, blast beats, and infernal energy.
