On This Day In METAL History – February 10th… From Led Zeppelin To Marduk
On February 10th, 1975 – The fabulous Led Zeppelin performed the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland, USA. Check out the price for the ticket above, it cost $8.50 (U.S.) to get in! Now, that’s a Metal bargain! Unreal!
On this day in KISStory – February 10, 1977 – KISS won the People’s Choice Award for their hit single “Beth” in the Best Song category. Whoa!
On February 10th, 1978 – The great Van Halen released their self-titled and debut studio album. This superb album features the songs: Runnin’ With The Devil, Eruption (guitar solo), Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love and Jamies Cryin’, among others.
On this day, in 1987 – Dokken released their hit single: Dream Warriors. This song is also featured on Dokken’s fourth studio album from 1987: Back For The Attack. This song was written by George Lynch and Jeff Pilson for the slasher movie: A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
On February 10th, 1990 – The legendary Aerosmith had their hit single, Janie’s Got A Gun, sitting at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song is featured on the tenth studio album from Aerosmith, released in September of 1989: Pump.
On this day, in 2011 – Ozzy Osbourne performed at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. This was one of many stops on Ozzy’s Scream World Tour. Scream is the eleventh studio album from Ozzy Osbourne, released back in June of 2010.
On February 10th, 2015 – The mighty Adrenaline Mob released their new EP: Dearly Departed, via Century Media. Yes, I am gonna buy it. Whoa!
On this day, in 2015 – Sweden’s Black Metal warriors MARDUK released their thirteenth studio album: Frontschwein. Yes, I am gonna buy this one too… or at least add it to my list until I have extra cash.

Right on! The Adrenaline Mob really do have a great album cover there!! Yeah, I bought that Adrenaline Mob CD on Tuesday (early evening) and it cost $8.99. I saw other CDs I wanted too, yet my budget pulled me back to reality! LOL!! You ROCK 80’s Metal Man \m/\m/

These new Power Metal bands probably are the new version of the classic metal we grew up on. Rhythmic, big guitars, drums – love it.

God, I actually remember seeing KISS perform Beth on the People’s Choice Awards that night. I was only 15 at the time, man do I feel old!
