On This Day In METAL History – February 15th… Whoa!
1969 – The iconic Led Zeppelin performed at Thee Image Club, in Miami, Florida, USA.
2011 – Stryper’s cover song album, The Covering, was released. Such Heavy Metal classics as Ozzy’s Over The Mountain and Blackout by Scorpions were covered. It’s a darn great covers album too, take my Metal word for it.
2011 – QUIET RIOT The Very Best Of was released. This compilation of hits from QUIET RIOT includes Metal Health (Bang Your Head), The Wild And The Young and Slick Black Cadillac. There are fourteen hit songs on this CD, in all. Long live the long-lasting legacy of QUIET RIOT. Whoa!
2014 – The magnificent PRIMAL FEAR performed at the Masters of Rock Café, in Zlín, Czech Republic. PRIMAL FEAR = METAL WARRIORS that defend not only our Metal galaxy, they defend our Metal Universe too. Yes, they do.
2015 – Marilyn Manson’s ninth studio album, The Pale Emperor, sits at #55 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. This album has spent 3 consecutive weeks on the chart, peaking at #3.
2015 – Kid Rock’s fourth studio album, Devil Without A Cause, has returned to the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, at #183. This album has spent 98 non-consecutive weeks on this chart, peaking at #8. Devil Without A Cause was released back in August of 1998. This album also features my favorite Kid Rock song of all-time: Cowboy.

I’ve seen Manson in the final series of Sons of Anarchy and he plays the part really well. I shall check out this new album.
