On This Day In METAL History – June 21st… From ALICE COOPER To TWISTED SISTER
On June 21st, 1975 – Alice Cooper had his ballad Only Women sitting at #12, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song is featured on Alice Cooper’s first solo studio album, from 1975: Welcome To My Nightmare. Sweet molasses!
On June 21st, 1985 – The sensational Mötley Crüe released their third studio album: Theatre of Pain. This album went on to reach #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, eventually selling four million (plus) copies in the United States. Heavens to Betsy! Yes, this album features the forever famous power ballad: Home Sweet Home.
On June 21st, 2013 – The legendary Twisted Sister performed at Hellfest, at Val de Moine in Clisson, France. Rest in peace, A.J. Pero.
On June 21st, 2014 – The mighty Avenged Sevenfold performed at Hellfest, at Val de Moine in Clisson, France. Great googly-moogly!
On June 21st, 2015 – Deathalbum III from Dethklok is ranked at #100, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. This studio album was released back in 2012. Whoa!
