On This Day In METAL History – June 28th… From KISS To NONPOINT
On June 28th, 1996 – KISS launched their reunion tour, aka the Alive/Worldwide Tour at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Alice In Chains was the opening band.
On June 28th, 2002 – RUSH began their tour at the Meadows Music Theater, in Hartford, Connecticut, in support of their seventeenth studio album: Vapor Trails. Whoa. Shown above is the original front cover for Vapor Trails.
On June 28th, 2015 – The forthcoming studio album, Found In Far Away Places (Deluxe Edition), from August Burns Red is ranked at #1, on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. This album releases on June 30th, 2015.
On June 28th, 2015 – The fabulous NONPOINT have their eighth studio album, The Return, ranked at #59, on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Holy mayo and tuna salad! By the way, this album was released back in September of 2014.
