On This Day In METAL History – July 19th… From BRIAN MAY To UNLEASH THE ARCHERS
On July 19th, 1975 – The awesome AEROSMITH have their hit single, Sweet Emotion, ranked at #36, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Whiz-bang! Sweet Emotion is featured on Aerosmith’s third studio album from 1975: Toys In The Attic.
On July 19th, 1986 – VAN HALEN headlined the Texxas Jam at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, USA. Also featured on this legendary bill were: BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE, KEEL, LOVERBOY, DIO and KROKUS.
On July 19th, 2015 – The third studio album, Among The Living, from the legendary ANTHRAX, is ranked at #56 on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Yeah!

On July 19th, 2015 – Canadian Metal band UNLEASH THE ARCHERS have their newly released studio album, Time Stands Still, ranked at #84, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. This album was released via Napalm Records. Right on!
BRIAN MAY
On July 19th, 1947, Brian May was born in England. Happy Birthday Brian May! Whoa! Brian May is famously known as a founding member, guitarist, songwriter and backing vocalist for the iconic QUEEN. Pictured above is the first solo album from Brian May, Back To The Light, released back in 1992.
Brian May has also achieved a PhD in Astrophysics. Brian May has a history of collaborations with such legendary artists as: Robbie Williams, the Foo Fighters, Cliff Richard, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Diana Ross and (the late) Luciano Pavarotti. Long live Brian May! Metal be thy name!
