On This Day In METAL History – August 9th… From QUEEN To SYMPHONY X
On August 9th, 1986 – The iconic QUEEN performed (approximately) a two-hour set at Knebworth Stadium in Britain. It is QUEEN’s 658th and (unfortunately) final concert performance. The opening bands were: STATUS QUO and BIG COUNTRY.
On August 12th, 2012 – The sensational IRON MAIDEN performed at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, in Irvine, California, USA. MAIDEN RULES!
On August 9th, 2015 – FEAR FACTORY has hit #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart, with their new studio album: Genexus.
On August 9th, 2015 – SYMPHONY X have debuted with their newly released studio album, Underworld, ranked at #90, on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. Right on!
On August 9th, 2015 – MUDVAYNE have their third studio album, Lost And Found, ranked at #100, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums chart. This album was released back in the Spring of 2005. Whoa.
