ON TOP “Topless” – A Metal Odyssey Album Review
4.5 Metal Fists Out Of 5!
ON TOP have released a 4 song EP this Summer that I really want to let you all know about. This EP is titled Topless and it flat-out has rocked my eyeballs out! Seriously. Alright, I still have my eyeballs in place yet you get my point. All 4 songs are just soaked through with all that delicious Hard Rock energy that I embrace enthusiastically! Fans from Mötley Crüe to Black Tora are certain to enjoy the Hard Rock that ON TOP plays, in my honest Metal opinion.
Jaron Gulino (vocals & bass) has a voice that isn’t carbon copied from the other trillion Hard Rock vocalists in Modern Hard Rock today. (Phew). ON TOP have recorded songs with an attitude that has let me know they are ready for prime time. Danny Piselli (drums & vocals) and Brian Davis (guitars & vocals) round out this enthusiastic power trio from the East Coast. Additional backing vocals were contributed by Damian Montecarlo.
Yes, I really dig this album cover for Topless. What else did you expect me to say? C’mon, now.
This EP is not over-polished and ON TOP play no silly ballads on this EP too! Yeah! On TOP’s previous 2 EP’s, Top Heavy (2011) and Top To Bottom (2014) are both freaking cool to seek out too; this band has not disappointed me on any release! Metal Be Thy Name. – Stone
