On August 31st, 1991 – The sensational SCORPIONS had their hit single Wind Of Change ranked at #4, on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song is featured on the eleventh studio album from the SCORPIONS, released in 1990: Crazy World.
On August 31st, 1992 – The incredible IRON MAIDEN performed at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. IRON MAIDEN were touring in support of their ninth studio album from 1992: Fear Of The Dark. Whoa! Hail IRON MAIDEN!
On August 31st, 2015 – The newly released MOTÖRHEAD studio album, Bad Magic, is ranked at #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Hail MOTÖRHEAD and Lemmy for president!
On August 31st, 2015 – The second studio album, Killers, from the great IRON MAIDEN is ranked at #78, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Killers was released back in 1981. I love this timeless Metal album and long live Paul Di’Anno. Whoa.

On August 31st, 1948, Rudolf Schenker was born in Germany. Happy Birthday, Rudolf Schenker! Hell and yeah! Rudolf Schenker is known across our Metal Universe as a co-founding member, guitarist and songwriter for the super legendary SCORPIONS. Yes, his brother is Michael Schenker. ‘Nuff said. Long live Rudolf Schenker!
