On This Day In METAL History – September 16th… From BOSTON To UNCLE ACID & THE DEADBEATS
On September 16th, 1978 – BOSTON reached #1 the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart for the first time with their second studio album: Don’t Look Back. This great album spent two non-consecutive weeks on top of this chart. If you don’t own this album, you are most likely a card-carrying member of the Stale Head Cheese Lovers Society.
On this day in KISSTORY – September 16, 1985 – KISS released their platinum studio album ASYLUM. That was 30 years ago! Oh, no, tears are falling!!
On September 16th, 2015 – The newly released SLAYER studio album, Repentless, is ranked #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Whoa!
On September 16th, 2015 – The debut studio album, Show No Mercy, from SLAYER is ranked at #98, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Whoa, again! This album was released back in 1983, via Metal Blade Records.
On September 16th, 2015 – The newly released studio album, Got Your Six, from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is ranked at #2, on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. Hell and freaking yeah!
On September 16th, 2015 – UNCLE ACID & THE DEADBEATS have their newly released studio album, The Night Creeper, debuting at #189, on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. Jumping Jiminy! This band and album ROCKS.
