Chi Cheng, the legendary and incredibly talented bassist for Deftones has passed away on April 13th, 2013. Chi Cheng was a young 42. Metal Odyssey expresses condolences to the family, friends and bandmates of Chi Cheng.

The DefTones are scheduled to play at OzzFest Japan next month (I have my ticket!)
I wonder if they’ll cancel now.

I don’t think they’ll cancel. Chi Cheng had been absent from the band due to his tragic injuries. It’s still a major loss to the band, that’s for certain. 😦
