MAZE OF TERROR – Peruvian Thrash Metallers, Maze Of Terror, are a band that you MUST know about and bang thy head to. It’s that simple and end of Metal story. Seriously. These dudes have single-handedly put Peru on the Thrash Metal map, with their retro-style of in-your-face, raw and severely contagious Thrash.
SKULLCRUSHER is the name of this band’s EP and ALL 5 songs are skull crushing (no pun intended). This is Thrash that old-schoolers yearn for and Maze Of Terror are well-studied in The Roots Of Thrash Metal 101. I had no idea days ago that Maze Of Terror existed and now I’m elated to listen to their brain assaulting Thrash at will! ALL kick-ass Metal adjectives come into play here, with this EP from Maze Of Terror: scorching, fierce, blistering, fast, eye-popping, true, et cetera. If the iconic Slayer (or any Thrash legends) are to play Peru, Maze Of Terror should always be their support band. Hell yes.
This Thrash power-trio has a quantum amount of Metal talent; LEVIATHAN on bass & vocals, CRIMINAL MIND on guitars and HAMMER on drums are a true thrill to listen to and I couldn’t be more Metal honest than that. Metal be thy name. – Stone
