On October 7th, 1978 – The Rolling Stones perform their smash “Beast Of Burden” on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Beast Of Burden is featured on the 1978 Some Girls album.
On October 7th, 1984 – Twisted Sister’s charismatic singer Dee Snider was arrested after a concert in Amarillo, TX for using “profane and abusive” language. Dee Snider would pay a fine of $75.
On this day in 1998 – Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Meat Loaf & Joe Strummer of The Clash were among the guest stars on the animated series South Park. A benefit concert for Chef is performed in this episode.
On October 7th, 2004 – Mötley Crüe’s legendary guitarist Mick Mars underwent hip replacement surgery, at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
On this day of October 7th, 2014 – The legendary Speed Metal pioneers, Rigor Mortis, releases Slaves To The Grave. This incredible new album features the guitar wizardry of the late Mike Scaccia.
