On October 20th, 1962, Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett and the Crypt Kickers began a two-week stop at #1 on the U.S. singles chart with Monster Mash. The song had been banned by The BBC in the UK, as it was deemed offensive. Monster Mash would become a #3 hit in the UK eleven years later, in 1973.

Famously known for his band Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, this music legend was also a member of the American/British supergroup: The Traveling Wilburys. Born on October 20th, 1984 was Mitch Lucker. Mitch was a singer, songwriter and founding member of the Extreme Metal band: Suicide Silence. Mitch Lucker passed away, way too young, in 2012, due to injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash.
