Post-Metallers A Light Within from Kansas City, MO, have released Between Shores on a Name Your Price basis on their Bandcamp page. The track comes as the next step in the band’s evolving sound from their début EP Preface.

In an interview with Dutch Metal Maniac (read here), guitarist Jeff Irvine explains: “With the changing of bassists, the sound changed. Not drastically, but organically. We all went out of our comfort zones, and came up with something really great.”

The single, likened to bands such as Junius and Neurosis, comes as a taster for the upcoming Body Matter EP, whose lyrics concern “one’s reflection on life; love and loss.”
