On January 12th, 1995 – The late and great Janis Joplin is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 10th annual induction dinner. Her presenter was Melissa Etheridge.
On this day in 1995 – Led Zeppelin is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 10th annual induction dinner. Joe Perry and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith are their presenters. Whoa!
On January 12th, 2015 – Nickelback still has positive movement on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, sitting at #41 with No Fixed Address. The eighth studio album from Canada’s Hard Rock legends has spent 7 consecutive weeks on the Top 200 and debuted at #4.
On this day in 2015 – Seether’s sixth studio album, Isolate and Medicate, is planted at #10, on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums Chart. AC/DC Rock Or Bust idles comfortably at #1, on this same chart. Metal be thy name!
ROB ZOMBIE
Born in Massachusetts on January 12th, 1965 was Rob Zombie. Happy Horror Metal birthday, Rob Zombie! Whiz-bang and yeah! Besides being a singer, songwriter, screenwriter and music producer, Rob Zombie is also an accomplished film director as well, directing such cult Horror classics as: House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween (2007 remake) and The Lords Of Salem, among others.
