Metal Odyssey’s Stone Picks His Top Ten Hard Rock Albums Of 2014
I truly enjoyed trying to stay on top of many, many Hard Rock releases that 2014 had to offer. From the dozens or more Hard Rock albums I listened to this past year, this Top 10 represents the titles that psyched me out the most; these are my choice albums that excel from start to finish.
Music creates vibrations that are unique, mystical and timeless. Music is a universal communication that brings us all together, from all walks of life, unlike anything else. Hopefully you’ll appreciate one or many from my personal Top 10 list. Metal be thy name.

MICHAEL SWEET
I’M NOT YOUR SUICIDE
Michael Sweet has, for me, delivered what I consider to be one of the most inspiring Hard Rock albums I’ve ever listened to. If last year’s Stryper album, No More Hell To Pay, wasn’t enough to lift me into the Milky Way of hope and positive reinforcement, then Michael Sweet’s new solo album has put triple asterisks on my will to overcome my personal fears and mistakes. I’m Not Your Suicide is a powerful and sincere album from a musician, songwriter, lyricist and singer that I believe to be an American music treasure.

Interesting picks Stone. I’ve kind of given up on a lot of the Hard Rock acts. A lot here I haven’t heard at all. I did get the Ace album though, enjoyed that one. I’m intrigued by Michael Sweet too and the recent Stryper stuff. They seem to be on top form these days.

Yes, Stryper and Michael Sweet are the real deal! I believe the one CD you would dig on this list is KYNG… they would be called Heavy Metal if this album released back in the 80’s! You know what I mean… LOL! You ROCK, Metal Buddy! \m/\m/

Thanks for tip Stone. I’m check them out for sure. I’m always on the look out for 80s style Metal!

Right on! KYNG mixes together 80’s Heavy Metal and Classic Rock meets Modern Hard Rock styles, in excellent fashion. There is a Stoner and Biker quality about their sound too. I guess I threw in everything except the kitchen sink on this one! LOL!!

Haha turns out I didn’t miss it after all! Already left a comment there! I’ve read so many best of lists I’ve lost track… It’s a great list. I’ve heard Electric Wizard since then and I’m pretty impressed with them. I still need to hear Rigor Mortis too.
There was so much great stuff last year, I’m still playing catch up. Just heard Night of the Hammer by Dawnbringer today. Thought that was great too. Heard that one?

No, I have not heard it… will have to now! Anytime I check your site out, my CD NEED list grows… LOL!!
LOL! I agree, it’s easy to forget where you roam around with these lists. Rigor Mortis is available on iTunes here in the US… check your iTunes over there? I am not sure if this Rigor Mortis CD released overseas or not, the band really scraped-up their funds to record the album. \m/\m/
