On This Day In METAL History – July 2nd… From LED ZEPPELIN To JUNGLE ROT
On July 2nd, 1980 – The outstanding Led Zeppelin performed in Germany at Eissporthalle. Led Zeppelin was touring in support of their eighth studio album: In Through The Out Door.
On July 2nd, 1981 – Foreigner released their fourth album, aptly titled: 4. This album went on to become Foreigner’s first and only album to reach number one on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, while eventually selling six million (plus) copies in the United States. Good golly!!
On July 2nd, 2012 – On their Maiden England Tour, the incredible IRON MAIDEN performed at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA. Hallowed Be Thy Name!
On July 2nd, 2015 – The newly released studio album, Illusions Of Dominance, from San Antonio’s BITTER END is ranked at #21, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Whoa, man!
On July 2nd, 2015 – The newly released studio album, Order Shall Prevail, from Wisconsin’s JUNGLE ROT is ranked at #40, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Great Caesar’s ghost!
