On September 5th, 1970 – The legendary FREE had their hit single, All Right Now, ranked at #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song classic is featured on FREE’s third studio album from 1970: Fire And Water.
On September 5th, 1981 – The fabulous FOREIGNER had their huge hit single, Urgent, ranked at #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song is featured on FOREIGNER’s fourth studio album, aptly titled: 4.
On September 5th, 1992 – GUNS N’ ROSES had their hit single, November Rain, ranked at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Shown above is the rare 1992 Australian-only 2-CD set of 9 GUNS ‘N ROSES songs (both live and studio tracks, see above). No, I don’t own this CD and surely wish I did. Whoa, man.
On September 5th, 2015 – The incredible IRON MAIDEN have their newly released studio album, The Book Of Souls, ranked at #1 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. IRON MAIDEN Forever.
On September 5th, 2015 – The legendary IRON MAIDEN have their fifteenth studio album, The Final Frontier, ranked at #18 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Jumping Jolly Ranchers!
On September 5th, 2015 – ONCE HUMAN have their debut studio album, The Life I Remember, ranked at #65 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Um… ONCE HUMAN kicks METAL ass BIG time, just to let you all know.

I strive to revisit the roots of METAL on a consistent basis; hopefully many younger music enthusiasts will discover a (classic) band, album or song that is posted up here and see what real Heavy Rock & Roll was (and still is) about!
