On October 17th, 1986 – Teamed together, RUN DMC and AEROSMITH had their re-energized version of Walk This Way ranked at #26, on the Weekly Top 40. I’ll forever love this version of Walk This Way and its original predecessor!
On October 17th, 1986 – VAN HALEN had their smash hit, Love Walks In, ranked at #27, on the Weekly Top 40. This song is featured on their 1986 studio album: 5150.
On October 17th, 1992 – The power ballad, When I Look Into Your Eyes, from the fabulous FIREHOUSE was ranked at #8, on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. This song is featured on the second studio album from FIREHOUSE, released back in 1992: Hold Your Fire.
On October 17th, 2015 – The newly released self-titled studio album (EP) from WITH THE DEAD is ranked at #17, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Jeepers, creepers!
On October 17th, 2015 – The newly released studio album, A Maze Of Recycled Creeds, from France’s Tech Death warriors GOROD is ranked at #26, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Whoa. This killer album was releases via the great Unique Leader Records.

Yup…Run DMC, that was the start of grade 9 for me, and the kids in school really liked it. I was surprised because I had wondered how they heard this band called “Aerosmith” that rockers like me were into…then I realized Run DMC were actually pretty big too!

LOL! Right? The original version of ‘Walk This Way’ was probably the first Rap song ever created… IMO. Whoa! 🙂
