On This Day In METAL History – February 2nd… From IRON MAIDEN To NELSON
On February 2nd, 1981 – The iconic IRON MAIDEN released their second studio album, Killers, in the UK. Yes, the legendary Paul Di’Anno was still the lead singer for this studio album and would be his last with IRON MAIDEN. If you don’t own this album, you are obviously not a legitimate Metalhead.
On February 2nd, 1990 – NELSON had their huge hit single, After The Rain, sitting at #6, on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. NELSON Forever. So there.
On February 2nd, 2008 – DON DOKKEN performed at House of Blues in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Shown above: April, 1988 Rock Beat cover feature of DON DOKKEN. Freaking whoa!
On February 2nd, 2013 – The mighty OVERKILL performed at House of Blues in West Hollywood, California, USA. Dig it.
On February 2nd, 2016 – Ghostlights (Bonus Version) from Tobias Sammet’s AVANTASIA is ranked at #3, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Yup. Very cool.
On February 2nd, 2016 – The new studio album from Germany’s PRIMAL FEAR, Rulebreaker, is ranked at #15, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. By the way, this new PRIMAL FEAR offering kicks enormous Metal ass. Yes, it does.
On February 2nd, 2016 – The powerful MANOWAR are scheduled to destroy at Konserthus in Stavanger, Norway. This is one of many dates on MANOWAR‘s Gods And Kings World Tour 2016. Hell, yes and Hail MANOWAR!
