On This Day In METAL History – April 30th… From LED ZEPPELIN To CILVER
On April 30th, 1977 – The unbelievable LED ZEPPELIN performed at the Pontiac Silverdome, in Pontiac, Michigan. An estimated 77,229 fans were in attendance, setting an attendance record (at that time) for a single-act concert. Holy cannoli!
On April 30th, 1988 – The enormously great AEROSMITH had their power ballad, Angel, ranked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Nifty! This very cool song is featured on AEROSMITH’s ninth studio album from 1987: Permanent Vacation.
On April 30th, 2016 – The newly released studio album, Dreamless, from California’s FALLUJAH is ranked at #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. An excellent band of both Atmospheric and Extreme Metal, take a listen and look for yourself below! Whoa!
On April 30th, 2016 – New York’s CILVER have their newly released studio album, Not The End Of The World, ranked at #2 on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Yup, it is. Dig it.
