On This Day In METAL History – May 3rd… From DEF LEPPARD To WESTFIELD MASSACRE
On May 3rd, 1980 – The legendary DEF LEPPARD made their debut on the American charts with their debut studio album: On Through The Night. The rest is incredible DEF LEPPARD history that keeps on Rockin’!
On May 3rd, 1982 – Legends CHUCK BERRY, CHEAP TRICK and JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS performed at San Diego’s Jack Murphy Stadium. This historical live Rock event grossed in excess of $455,000. That’s a lot of Rockin’ loot! Shown above: CHEAP TRICK‘s sixth studio album from 1982 – One On One.
On May 3rd, 2016 – The newly released, debut and self-titled studio album from L.A.’s WESTFIELD MASSACRE is ranked at #17, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. BTW, former Divine Heresy vocalist Tommy Vext fronts WESTFIELD MASSACRE. The great Ira Black plays guitar in this kick-ass band too. Whoa.
On May 3rd, 2016 – Virginia’s MY ENEMIES & I have their Sick World EP ranked at #67, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. That’s sick, man!
