On This Day In METAL History – May 16th… From KISS To HATEBREED
On This Day In KISSTORY – May 16th, 1975 – KISS headlined Detroit’s Cobo Hall for the first time. The show before a sellout crowd of 12,000 plus, was part of the seventy-two date Dressed To Kill Tour. It was also the first of five shows that KISS recorded for their classic album, KISS ALIVE! – Source: KISS Facebook
On May 16th, 1983 – The fourth studio album, Piece Of Mind, from the iconic IRON MAIDEN was released. My favorite song on this album is Revelations. The Trooper, Die With Your Boots On and Flight Of Icarus are songs that kick 100% Metal ass too. Long Live IRON MAIDEN!!
On May 16th, 1987 – POISON had their hit single, Talk Dirty To Me, ranked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Whoa. This song is featured on POISON’s debut studio album: Look What The Cat Dragged In.
*Shown above is a more recent 45 rpm version from Target.
On May 16th, 2016 – The newly released studio album, The Concrete Confessional, from HATEBREED is ranked at #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. F’N YEAH!! An ace album! Long Live HATEBREED!
On May 16th, 2016 – The newly released studio album, Trust No One, from DEVILDRIVER is ranked at #2, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Trust No One is the seventh studio album from DEVILDRIVER. Dig it.

That is my favorite Eddie of all the Eddies out there. Something about him in that straight jacket that just screams bad ass.

That first one is awesome as well. Very menacing.

Right!? Take into account that nothing like Eddie ever appeared before on an album cover too… very menacing, indeed! \m/\m/
