On This Day In METAL History – May 19th… From ACE FREHLEY To AVATAR
On May 19th, 1985 – The first studio album from ACE FREHLEY, FREHLEY’S COMET, was debuting at #118, on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. 1st Fanboy Alert: SPACE ACE ROCKS! Note: Some may consider this to be ACE’s second studio album, (along with the 1978 KISS solo album), only this album was recorded with his new band: FREHLEY’S COMET.
On May 19th, 1990 – The fabulous HEART had their tenth studio album, Brigade, sitting at #3, on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. 2nd Fanboy Alert: HEART FOREVER.
On May 19th, 2016 – The newly released and sixth studio album, Feathers & Flesh (Deluxe Edition), from Sweden’s AVATAR, is ranked at #3 on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Metal mercy!
On May 19th, 2016 – The fourth studio album from Sweden’s AVATAR, Black Waltz (Deluxe Edition), is ranked at #22 on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Sweet Metal Mariah!
On May 19th, 2016 – The fifth studio album, Hail The Apocalypse (Deluxe Edition), from Sweden’s AVATAR is ranked at #38, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Good golly, Metal Molly!
