In 2008, DORO celebrated her 25th anniversary concert at the ISS Dome in her hometown of Düsseldorf, Germany. With over 8,500 people in attendance, this magical performance featured her long-time band members Nick Douglas (bass), Joe Taylor (guitar), Johnny Dee (drums) and Oliver Palotai (keyboards, guitar). Guest appearances were made by Overkill’s Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth, Grave Digger’s Chris Boltendahl, former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, Scorpions’ Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, Liv Kristine (Leaves’ Eyes), Floor Jansen (After Forever), Axel Rudi Pell and many others. This once-on-a-lifetime concert set was captured in its entirety and includes out takes from this very special career-affirming evening.

It’s hard to believe that Doro has been around for 25 years. The cool thing is she looks as great now as she did then and her music kicks ass as well.

I bought this box set back in the Spring as an “import” and man is it worth every copper penny. The live CD comes across so vividly too, when played LOUD it feels like I was there. 🙂
There is a photo book that comes with this set… a great photo of DORO with Ronnie James Dio is in it. Just a class act is DORO.
