01 – On this day in 1978, Aerosmith reaches #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their cover single of the Beatles classic: Come Together.
02 – On this day, in 1988, Van Halen kicked off the second leg of their tour in support of their multi-hit album OU812, at the Rupp Arena, in Lexington, KY.

03 – On this day in 1998, ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, Ramones singer Joey Ramone, Megadeth singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine, Joe Walsh and Matthew Sweet all made cameo appearances on The Drew Carey Show episode: In Ramada Da Vida.
Born on this day in 1947, in the UK, was the pioneering Glam/Hard Rock legend: Marc Bolan. As a guitarist, singer and songwriter for T Rex, their 1972 single Bang A Gong, (Get It On) from the Electric Wizard album became a Top 10 hit in the US. Tragically, Marc Bolan passed away from injuries he sustained in a car accident, on September 16th, 1977.
