On this day in 1970 – Black Sabbath were at #1 on the UK chart with their second album: Paranoid. This seminal album includes the timeless Metal songs War Pigs, Iron Man and the title track.
On October 10th, 1978 – Guitarist Joe Perry and vocalist Steven Tyler of Aerosmith are injured in Philadelphia, after a dumb-ass in the crowd tosses a cherry bomb onstage.
On this day in 1987 – Europe peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with their power ballad: Carrie. This song would become Europe’s biggest hit in the United States. Carrie is featured on Europe’s third studio album: The Final Countdown.
On this day in 1987 – Whitesnake hits #1 with on the Billboard Chart with their power ballad: Here I Go Again. This song is featured on Whitesnake’s self-titled album from 1987.
On this day in KISSTORY, October 10th, 1998 – KISS entered the Billboard 200 Album Chart, at its chart peak of #3, with Psycho Circus. This album was the first studio album by the original lineup of KISS, in nearly twenty years.
On this day in 2009 – Pearl Jam went to #1 on the US Billboard album chart with their ninth studio album: Backspacer.
On this day in KISSTORY – Oct. 10, 2012, KISS performed on the Late Show with David Letterman. After their appearance, KISS performed a concert in the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater, celebrating the 50th webcast of CBS Interactive’s award-winning live webcast concert series Live On Letterman.

What did you make of Psycho Circus Stone? I quite liked some of it but it was mostly disappointing. One of their worst albums I felt.

KISS “Psycho Circus” is a great album and the title track is a modern Classic.

Right on! Yeah, the title track never ceases to psyche the living daylights out of me! Whoa! \m/
