On November 28th, 1964The Kinks peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with their hit You Really Got Me. This song was the first top ten single, from The Kinks in the United States.

On November 28th, 1949, Paul Shaffer was born in Canada. Happy Rockin’ birthday, Paul! Yeah! Paul Shaffer has been David Letterman’s musical director, bandleader and sidekick for over 30 years, earning his spot in Late Show history with “The World’s Most Dangerous Band”. Paul Shaffer was also a member of Saturday Night Live’s house band, during the pioneering era for this show, from 1975 until 1980. This dynamic performer played the memorable synthesizer solo on Scandal’s 1982 hit single: Goodbye To You.

Paul Shaffer played piano and keyboards on 1984’s The Honeydrippers: Volume One, a hit chart album which featured Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Nile Rodgers. On Joe Walsh’s ninth studio album from 1991, Ordinary Average Guy, Paul Shaffer plays both piano and keyboards. In 1995, Paul Shaffer appeared/played keyboards in Blues Traveler’s music video for the song Hook.

During 1998,  Paul Shaffer was featured on the hit game show: Hollywood Squares. In 2010, Shaffer appeared with Bachman & Turner at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. His appearance was included on the live Bachman & Turner album which was recorded on that date. On October 6th, 2009, Paul Shaffer’s autobiography We’ll Be Here For the Rest of Our Lives: A Swingin’ Show-biz Saga was released. (See top photo). An incredibly impressive resume has Paul Shaffer achieved; there’s simply not enough space here to list it all! Metal be thy name!

On November 28th, 1962, Matt Cameron was born in California. Happy Rockin’ birthday, Matt! Whoa! Matt Cameron is famously known as being a drummer for both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Back in 1990, Matt was joined up with the supergroup: Temple Of The Dog and was also a drummer and songwriter for the mid 80’s Grunge band: Skin Yard.
