Metal Odyssey’s Scott Coverdale Picks His Top Ten Albums Of 2010!
Metal Odyssey’s Scott Coverdale – Wow, where did 2010 go? A few months ago, Stone asked if I would be interested in doing a list of my personal Top Ten Albums Of 2010 for Metal Odyssey. After giving it some thought, I said, sure, what the hell! I’ll admit, I am not a critic, nor do I review albums. I’m just a dude that gets into listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal albums, along with researching Metal and corresponding live from concerts for Metal Odyssey. Secondly, I do not listen to or know much about the Extreme genres of Metal, with Death and Black Metal not being my forte.
So, while deliberating my list of the Top Ten Albums Of 2010, picking that one standout Hard Rock or Heavy Metal album proved to be quite difficult. I probably have bought and listened to 30+ CD’s that were released over the course of 2010, therefore, I have left a lot of quality music on the table. With that all being said, here is my Top Ten Albums Of 2010…

The only album from this list that I have is RATT “Infestation”. It’s excellent!
Which of the others would you recommend getting next?

Tokyo5, If you like the Ratt, I would recommend Taddy Porter next I like that one a lot, they were an end of the year pick up for me it’s really good, or Pretty Maids. If you’re in the mood for something a bit different try Volbeat.

Gotta give a big thumbs up to the latest from the great Pretty Maids. Pandemonium is the best album they have released since 1992’s Sin Decade. I always pick up their new releases, and they are always… good. This release really got my blood pumping and the songs are top notch. They don’t feel “phoned in” like previous releases.

I was really never a big fan of theirs, but this cd is really done well. I can’t recall having listened to”Sin Decade” so I’m gonna put that one on my list for 2011. Thanks!

It would be very cool… if Pretty Maids were to play at the 2011 M3 Rock Festival. Whoa… oh yeah. 😉
