AMON AMARTH – Now we’re getting serious with Metal, real Metal, invading our U.S. shores… and this is a Metal invasion I welcome with Metal glee. AMON AMARTH. Those two words alone are equivalent to top tier. (Actually, the Sindarin translation for AMON AMARTH means: Mount Doom). This Melodic Death Metal giant of a viking band, from Sweden, is back in 2011… stronger, louder and more Metal victorious than ever!

Surtur Rising marks AMON AMARTH‘s eighth studio release and undoubtedly one of 2011’s most anticipated albums by fans and critics alike. In celebration of its release, the band will embark on 2011 U.S. headlining tour next month. Simply dubbed “An Evening With AMON AMARTH,” this very special trek will find the band touring without support and instead performing two separate sets each night. One set will include the performance of Surtur Rising in its entirety.
