Lamentations Of The Ashen Announce New Album Release Date
Libertine Cyst To Release On January 20, 2015
LAMENTATIONS OF THE ASHEN, the blackened Doom Metal project of Bon Vincent Fry, will release their long-awaited album Libertine Cyst on January 20 2015.
Consisting of four epic tracks, Libertine Cyst is the follow-up to 2011’s EKIMMV. In regards to the album, Bon has released the following statement:
“Finally, after 3 years, I am pleased to present my 3rd full-length album, ‘Libertine Cyst’ to the world. This album was the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do musically. I was dealt an endless amount of obstacles (some self-created) which constantly resulted in delaying my progress. I feel that this record stands as a testament that the path of maximum resistance produces a more thoroughly honed work of art. I think the material contained here marks a new height in my song writing and atmosphere for this project. It’s hard to express how pleased and relieved I am to finally have this behind me and shift my gaze even further into the blackness beyond the stars. This is where it ends for me, and starts for everyone else.”
Praise for past Lamentations of the Ashen albums:
“After many repeated listens, I’m fucking way beyond just impressed! Every song on this album is a dark majestic voyage to a universe where the evil thoughts of others are murdered by our protective black dragons.”- Cvlt Nation
“Stirring the aether with bleak and depressive anthems of blackened doom, Lamentations of the Ashen achieves wonder in an audio sea of woe.”- Worm Gear zine
