  1. Worst album I’ve heard, ever. Glad I didn’t spend any hard earned money on it. To each their own I guess.

I’ve had a super CRAZY week and haven’t even bought my copy of “The Devil’s Rain” yet. I’m sincerely happy for Jerry Only and his band though. I’m gonna use the Best Buy coupon that came with the MISFITS newsletter, the CD will only cost 7.99 with it. Then again, I might try to buy it on vinyl from Hot Topic. You have a right to not like the album… your opinion is counted \m/

  2. I am not going to get on a soap box here, but I will say that it is hard to believe that this is the same entity that was once fronted by Glenn Danzig and Michale Graves. Give it a spin and let me know if you agree or not. I am curious to hear your take on the album.

You are just passionate about the Danzig and Graves eras of the MISFITS and that is fine. Certainly, the Danzig era was extremely more dark, sinister and pioneering. The Graves era was dark, yet turned the corner towards Hollywood horror themes. I was “personally” sold on the vocals of Jerry Only with “Project 1950”. His vocals are Rock and Roll… and not entirely “classic Punk”. Jerry has stated in interviews his wanting to stray from the “real” darker stuff and is a B movie Horror fan of yesteryear. I did dig the two singles they released on the 12″ “Land Of The Dead”… and I admire Dez Cadena, with my being a Black Flag fan to boot. I can understand your point though… the MISFITS of today are more “accessible” & “fun” and that (may have) taken some of the underground allure factor away. Still, I embrace what Jerry Only is doing because the “mainstream” will still think everything about the MISFITS is pure evil no matter what Jerry says… and the “DIY” attitude that he has I find admirable.

      * I will say though, that the Danzig era MISFITS is my favorite. DANZIG IS UNREAL \m/

I will definitely write about what I think of this new MISFITS album! Um, once I get it this week/weekend. Then… well… um… you will most likely yell at me. 🙂

      • No yelling. If you are interested, check out a band called Gotham Road on youtube. They were a metal band that Graves started a few years after his time in the Misfits. I think they may still have a digital album available.
