Southern Stoner Metal Band CALUS Return With The Evolution of Social Exclusion – Album Out October 2nd
South Carolina stoner metal veterans CALUS are making their long-anticipated return with The Evolution of Social Exclusion.
This six-song EP marks CALUS’ first newly recorded work since 2006’s Spiritual Warfare. And the band hasn’t missed a step. At times sludgy, at times trippy and always heavy, The Evolution of Social Exclusion delivers non-stop, bottom-heavy groove, crushing riffs and a hazy Southern swagger.
CALUS has thus far released two singles off The Evolution of Social Exclusion – “No Curses,” a more aggressive cut that pushes the band’s attack into proggier territory, and the sludge-forward stomper “Perdition Anthem.”
