On July 14th,1979 – Cheap Trick peaked at #4 for four weeks, on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart with their first live album: Cheap Trick at Budokan. This was Cheap Trick’s first top ten album in the United States.
On July 14th, 2011 – The mighty IRON MAIDEN performed at the Motorcycle Convention in Faro, Portugal. This was a date on The Final Frontier World Tour. Hail IRON MAIDEN!
On July 14th, 2011 – In their hometown of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Triumph had a street named after them. The dedication ceremony of Triumph Lane was attended by all three members of Triumph: Drummer & vocalist Gil Moore, guitarist & vocalist Rik Emmett and bassist & keyboardist Mike Levine.
On July 14th, 2015 – Ozzy Osbourne’s Heavy Metal Classic, Crazy Train, is ranked at #13, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Songs Chart. How cool is that? Crazy Train is featured on the studio album, Blizzard Of Ozz, from Ozzy Osbourne’s solo debut, released back in 1980.
On July 14th, 2015 – Mudvayne L.D. 50 is ranked at #65, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. This studio album was originally released back in 2000. Whoa!
