Lemmy Kilmister - publicity - cooking promo

As reported on the Official Motörhead Facebook:

There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made it’s way down the street, with his family.

We cannot begin to express our shock and sadness, there aren’t words.

We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, play Hawkwind loud, play Lemmy’s music LOUD.
Have a drink or few.

Share stories.

Celebrate the LIFE this lovely, wonderful man celebrated so vibrantly himself.

HE WOULD WANT EXACTLY THAT.

Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister

1945 -2015

Born to lose, lived to win.

Please feel free to post your condolences, well wishes and memories here:

Stone Says: Tremendously sad news. Goodbye, Lemmy. Thank you for the Rock ‘N Roll. I will forever spread the word of Motörhead. The Metal and Rock ‘N Roll world will truly never be the same without Lemmy.

I’ll never forget seeing Motörhead for the first time live, it was one of my most magical Metal moments I’ve experienced, back in the mid 80’s. I saw concert fans tussle and struggle to take ownership of Lemmy’s cigarette butt; one in which he flicked into the crowd. I watched Lemmy play bass and sing Killed By Death, Jailbait and Ace Of Spades, only 20 or so feet away from me, in an overcrowded West Hartford Ballroom, in West Hartford, Connecticut. Slayer later headlined. With a couple of minor bruises, I stunk of cigarette smoke, sweat and beer after leaving that show. It doesn’t get any better than that.
