Crowned, “..a blasphemous blast…,” by Decibel, a “masterful slab of blacked metal,” by PopMatters and praised for channeling, “every evil impulse of its blackened death thrash,” by The Austin Chronicle, Constricting Rage Of The Merciless debuted at #81 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, toppling their last entry position of #171 with Blood For The Master.
Additionally, the record hit the #21 spot on Billboard’s Rock chart, #7 on the Hard Rock chart, #13 on the Independent chart and, boasting ten mutinous tracks of thick, predatory, subterranean metal, continues to reap the exaltation of fans and critics globally. Live Testimonials:
“GOATWHORE commanded the whole room from the second they took the stage, and attending a show… should be a no-brainer for any and every metalhead in North America.” – Metal Assault
“Lead man Ben Falgoust stands as a reputable showman in his continuous engagement with the crowd – the high-fiving and fist bumping with patrons shall never cease. And by the time the leather lads hit their smash, “Apocalyptic Havoc,” no one was spared. The concert going trinity of steam, screams, and Satan were on tap making for a great performance and satiated audience.” – National Rock Review
“When the front row wasn’t headbanging with arms adhered to the monitor, they were getting whipped by hair, baptized in sweat, and repeatedly fist bumped by the ever-invigorated frontman Ben Falgoust… Intimacy and intensity defined the night…” – Metal Life

NYC-area Death/Doom quintet, GREY SKIES FALLEN, has issued the latest in their extensive roster of independently released recordings, with the Earthwalker single, via a free digital download, as the 7″ vinyl version is completed, all while the band continues to construct material for their next impending LP.
With merely two-songs, Earthwalker does an impressive job of delivering a solid new serving of GREY SKIES FALLEN‘s mammoth musical ways, with over thirteen minutes of brand new material. This is some of the final material to be recorded at Audio Playground (RIP), with additional recording handled at Suffolk Recording Studios, with the tracks recorded, mixed and mastered by Keith Moore.
The namesake track, Earthwalker dominates the A-side, its immediately massive delivery fueled by a steady pace backing a grand and epic aura, with searing, blackened scorn infiltrating the powerful layering of multiple vocal styles which take control of the track.
Side B‘s nearly seven-minute Safe Passage, with a more plodding momentum, shows each element of the five-member faction pushing to the surface; intoxicating waves of synth, pummeling bass thunder, interwoven guitar leads and that dynamic array of vocal styles culminate within one of the most inspiring epic doom tracks from the band to date.
Earthwalker is set for October release on 7″ vinyl, the pressing limited to 120 copies on grey/green swirl wax with a lyric insert, the full-color artwork throughout once again provided by Travis Smith (Death, Opeth, King Diamond) as with other prior GREY SKIES FALLEN releases. In addition, the band has graciously released the EP as a FREE digital download to their loyal fanbase.
Stream GREY SKIES FALLEN’s Earthwalker 7″ in full – with FREE downloads and vinyl preorders, via Bandcamp now at THIS LOCATION.
GREY SKIES FALLEN, with members also currently hailing from the likes of Buckshot Facelift, Brave The Waters and more, is currently immersed in the writing process for their upcoming fifth album to be recorded late this year and released in 2016.
Stand by for further info on GREY SKIES FALLEN, as their new album comes together and new live shows are confirmed throughout the area in the coming weeks.

NEW YORK – Coheed and Cambria have revealed the cover and track list for their forthcoming album, The Color Before The Sun (Oct. 9, 300 Entertainment).
The cover, which features a serene lake with a house disintegrating into the sky, was created by Nick Steinhardt (Touche Amore, Deafheaven) and reflects the story behind the ten-song album.
While the most conceptually abstruse Coheed records have always had a foundation in reality, The Color Before The Sun marks the first time Claudio Sanchez is exposing his raw feelings, narrated from his own perspective – the anxiety of fatherhood, the disorienting feeling of losing a home, the reflections had during early morning walks. His own story is told through big, bright, driving, colorful songs that beam like power-pop, crunch like vintage ‘90s emocore and float with the expansive feel of space-rock.
Sanchez’s journey is captured not only in the music, but also in a limited edition, deluxe box set available for pre-order as of this morning at www.coheedandcambria.com. The extensive collection offers fans two hardcover books: one featuring album lyrics and expansive artwork from The Color Before The Sun, while a separate book documents the events and emotions of the time with prose and photographs. Four different pieces of music are housed in the die-cut slipcase: The Color Before The Sun (CD), The Color Before The Sun demos (CD), an in-studio DVD and a clear 7-inch with two non-album demo tracks. Purchasers also receive an instant download of “You Got Spirit, Kid,” a membership card, a custom house key, a lapel pin, a certificate of authenticity; as well as exclusive, members-only access to new music, videos, concert tickets, merchandise and commentary from the band.

Frontman Blackie Lawless on the new album Golgotha: “There are times in any band’s career that somehow all things mesh together. Their experiences, influences, and personal timing bring them into a common space. This has happened with this record. Four years in the making has provided direction, but even greater reflection. Golgotha, where Christ was crucified – Hebrew for “the place of the skull”.”

W.A.S.P. came out of the Los Angeles Metal scene in 1982 gaining notoriety for their shock rock antics. With a career spanning over 3 decades, 17 world tours, and now their 15th studio album, they are a metal band that has evolved in maturity without having lost their signature sound, unlike many of their peers from their origins. Golgotha will continue down the path that 2007’s Dominator and 2009’s Babylon started on, both in production style and theme. Years in the making, Golgotha will undoubtedly lead the listeners on the emotionally epic undertaking that W.A.S.P. has become acclaimed for!

Finnish funeral doom duo, TYRANNY – featuring within its ranks current and former members of Corpsessed and Wormphlegm among others – will unleash their first new studio offering in a decade this Fall via Dark Descent Records. Titled Aeons In Tectonic Interment, the record offers up five diseased psalms of slow, tortured, epically bowel-rupturing grimness.
Composed, performed and tracked by members Matti Mäkelä and Lauri Lindqvist with additional percussion by Jussi-Pekka Manner and mastered by D. Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio (Absu, Pallbearer, Profetus, Sigh, Wodensthrone etc.), Aeons In Tectonic Interment is at once spiritual and ill-omened; a fifty-one-minute soul-searing sound apocalypse where misanthropy, suffering and imminent ruin become one achieving purification through sonic decay.
Aeons In Tectonic Interment Track Listing:
1. Sunless Deluge
2. A Voice Given Unto Ruin
3. Preparation Of A Vessel
4. The Stygian Enclave
5. Bells Of The Black Basilica
____________________________
Forged in 2001 by Mäkelä and Lindqvist, TYRANNY was conceived under the strain of a Stranger Will to channel the Ageless resonations of Earth and Oceans and sonorous visions and fevered dreams by the means of epic, Funereal Soundscapes. In 2004 the band unsheathed their debut, Bleak Vistae, which shook the foundation of a small, reclusive yet inexorably devoted funeral doom scene.
Crowned an, “epic masterpiece,” and commended for its, “mystical atmosphere,” and, “crushing wall of sound,” by Ultimate Guitar, 2005’s Tides Of Awakening reaped the attention of critics globally. Metal Bite championed a record that was, “uncompromising and extreme,” while Metal Reviews, in an “Album Of the Month” review likened it to, “a partner piece instructing in the discipline of appreciating one’s own suffering.”
TYRANNY has always operated in the shadows, worked on intuition and done things only when there was a will and the time seemed right for it. The past ten years have been devoted to various live appearances such as Roskilde Festival, Roadburn and the Kill-Town Deathfest, and the slow writing process of Aeons In Tectonic Interment – the band’s most devout work to date.
Aeons In Tectonic Interment will see release via Dark Descent Records on CD, double LP and digitally on September 18th, 2015 with preorders and track samples to be revealed in the coming weeks.
