SUPERJOINT Confirmed As Direct Support On DANZIG’s Blackest Of The Black Tour

Reactivated metal icons, SUPERJOINT, will take to the streets again this Fall as direct support on Danzig’s annual Blackest Of The Black Tour! Slated to commence on October 3rd in Tempe, Arizona and run through October 31st in Los Angeles, California, the latest journey will level eighteen cities with an included stop at this year’s edition of Rock And Shock in Worcester, Massachusetts. Additional support will be provided by Veil Of Maya, Prong and Witch Mountain.

SUPERJOINT’s latest expedition follows the band’s wildly successful It Takes Guts Summer takeover and serves as a precursor to their performance at this year’s edition of the Housecore Horror Fest in November.

American Metal icons, SUPERJOINT, will embark on their first tour in over a decade! Presented by frontman Philip H. Anselmo’s own Housecore Records, The It Takes Guts Summer takeover will commence on July 10th in Oklahoma City and ravage its way through thirteen US cities with additional dates to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Support will be provided by punk metal/noise rock misfits, Child Bite, and Australian grind miscreants, King Parrot, both members of the Housecore Records family.

Now featuring Anselmo (Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Pantera et al), guitarists Kevin Bond (Christ Inversion, Artimus Pyledriver et al) and Jimmy Bower (Down, Eyehategod), drummer José Manuel Gonzalez (Warbeast, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals) and bassist Stephen Taylor (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Woven Hand, 16 Horse Power), the long-anticipated trek follows SUPERJOINT‘s crushing performance closing out the second stage of last year’s edition of the Housecore Horror Film Fest.

KING PARROT released their eagerly anticipated Dead Set full-length last month via Housecore Records. Captured by Anselmo and Michael Thompson with Steve Berrigan at the famed Nodferatu’s Lair, KING PARROT‘s Dead Set brandishes ten grind-laden, punk-infused odes of defiant audio savagery bedecked in the dark, cynical humor for which the band has become notorious. A true leap forward from their Bite Your Head Off debut, Dead Set parades a distinct maturity from a band who’s committed to the rigors of international touring, slaying audiences through Asia, North America, Europe and Australia on a steady basis.

Crowned “the soundtrack to the greatest psychotic slasher film that never was,” by American Aftermath, CHILD BITE released their Strange Waste EP, a deliciously bastardized hybrid of the Melvins, Dead Kennedys, Big Black and Faith No More, last Fall via Housecore. The band recently took a brief pause from their current US live excursion to record their forthcoming new full-length with Philip H. Anselmo at his famed Nodferatu’s Lair. Titled Negative Noise, the LP will be released later this year via Housecore.

SUPERJOINT consists of founding members Anselmo, Bower and Bond, with the addition of Joey “Blue” Gonzalez and Steve Taylor. The band churns out a debaucherous crossover of hardcore punk and metal a la Pantera and unleashed two critically lauded full-lengths; 2002’s Use Once And Destroy and 2003’s Lethal Dose Of American Hatred, before taking hiatus in 2005.
