WITCHCRAFT – First Track From “Legend” Available For Online Streaming!

Swedish psychedelic classic rockers, WITCHCRAFT, have made the first track single off the bands upcoming album, Legend, available for streaming at the bands official Facebook profile. Surf to http://www.facebook.com/witchcraft and check out It’s Not Because Of You.

The single will be made available for purchase on August 17 digitally (iTunes, http://www.itunes.com/witchcraft ) and as limited 7“ vinyl (Nuclear Blast Mailorder, http://www.nuclearblast.de/suche/witchcraft ) including a special non-album bonus track called Take Me With You When You Die.

The 7“ vinyl will be issued in three different versions: Green (Nuclear Blast Mailorder ONLY), copper and black.

Legend marks WITCHCRAFTs first album in five years and will released September 21, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

WITCHCRAFT – “LEGEND” Cover Art Revealed

Swedish Doom Metal icons WITCHCRAFT have revealed the cover art of the band’s forthcoming album, Legend, which marks the bands first after a long 5 year hiatus.

Commented singer/mainman Magnus Pelander: “A friend of mine had an idea about a cover for Legend. I developed the idea and gave it back to my friend who then passed it on to another friend who happened to be a designer. The designer then pushed it in a new direction. The result is already legendary.“

Bass player Ola Henriksson adds: “The album cover is meant to reflect the music and I think it does that with its heavy, dark & clean design.“

Legend will be released September 21 (Europe) and September 25, 2012 (North America) via Nuclear Blast.

WITCHCRAFT – Sign With Nuclear Blast! Currently Recording New Album

Nuclear Blast feels honoured to welcome Swedish Doom Metal kings WITCHCRAFT to the family!

After a 5 year hiatus, the band is currently recording the follow-up to 2007’s “The Alchemist” together with renowned producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (KREATOR, OPETH, AMON AMARTH, PARADISE LOST, KATATONIA…).

The albums working title is set to “Legend” and will feature the bands new guitarists and drummer for the first time:

Simon Solomon – guitars
Tom Jondelius – guitars
Oscar Johansson – drums

Furthermore, band leader Magnus Pelander will from now on focus on his unique vocals without playing guitar anymore.

Commented Pelander: “There’s magic going on in the studio and we can hardly wait to eventually give something back to our loyal fans! We know you guys have been waiting for this!”
