Enforcer - Mesmerized By Fire - promo cover pic!

In advance of their new studio album “Death By Fire” (out: February, 1st), ENFORCER release a free download for their new track “Mesmerized By Fire” today.

Click HERE!

On January, 18th “Mesmerized By Fire” will also be released on a limited vinyl version:

Tracklist:
A: Mesmerized By Fire
B: You Can Be (non album track)

Olof Wikstrand comments:

“Mesmerized by Fire” is more or less the title track from the “Death By Fire” album. I think within four minutes it captures pretty much everything about Enforcer: intensity and power mixed with a touch of melody and melancholy. The B-side is a cover of Nagazaki’s “You Can Be”. It is a track with mega potential from a band that unfortunately never made it in the 80s.”

KINGCROW – Atmospheric Prog Band To Release Fifth Album Via Sensory Records

Kingcrow - In crescendo - promo cover pic!

The Progressive Metal aficionados at New Jersey-based Sensory Records this week announce the pending release of the newest album from Italy’s KINGCROW, In Crescendo.

While working in a mostly Progressive Metal direction in the earlier days, KINGCROW has increasingly expanded the scope of their sound to encompass elements of Rock, nowadays rounded-out in a culmination of strong atmospheric component similar to Riverside, Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd but also bearing a heavier, metallic semblance to Opeth and Dream Theater. This is boldly present on the band’s fifth studio full-length, In Crescendo, the new album encompassing nearly an hour over eight epic movements. Produced by the band’s own Diego and Thundra Cafolla at Sound Under Pressure in Rome, the massive album was then mixed by Giampiero Ulacco and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.

Over the past two years KINGCROW has expanded the band’s fanbase through European tours in support of both Redemption and Jon Oliva, in addition to performances at ProgPower Europe and ProgPower USA. Plans for a U.S. tour are being devised for 2013 in support of In Crescendo.

Sensory Records, a division of The Laser’s Edge, will release In Crescendo in North America on February 12th. Stay tuned for further updates as the new album nears release and as KINGCROW takes to the road in the New Year.

TODAY IS THE DAY Verifies Extensive North American 2013 Spring Tour

Posted in Extreme Metal, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal music, Music, rock music, rock music news with tags , , , on December 24, 2012 by Metal Odyssey

Today Is The Day - promo group pic - logo - 2012

Prophetic extreme music trio TODAY IS THE DAY will embark on an enormous North American tour this March and April, and have unleashed the first wave of confirmed dates.

TODAY IS THE DAY’s upcoming brutal voyage will begin in the Northeast and storm south across the country on the way to SXSW for this year’s official ToneDeaf Touring showcase alongside Orange Goblin, KEN Mode, Mondo Generator and more. After the festivities in Austin the outfit will continue a clockwise path of chaos up through the Northwest and Midwest US and into Canada.

Support for TODAY IS THE DAY throughout most of the venture will be provided by Black Tusk, KEN Mode and Fight Amp. But Black Tusk will drop from the trek after a month on the road, and will be replaced by a special guest to be announced shortly. Additional American and Canadian shows and more action for this year’s SXSW and more will be confirmed soon as well. Stay tuned. In the meantime, the confirmed routing is as follows, with tickets for most of the shows going on sale tomorrow.

Celebrating its twentieth anniversary in 2013, TODAY IS THE DAY remains one of the most unique and influential bands of the past two decades. Led by visionary frontman Steve AustinTITD’s violent but psychedelic attack has received worldwide acclaim ever since the debut album, Supernova, hit in 1993. Nine studio albums have been released on such labels as Amphetamine Reptile and Relapse, and the band’s ever-morphing lineup has included such musicians as Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, who would later go on to form Mastodon.

TODAY IS THE DAY has toured the world with Motörhead, Helmet, The Melvins, Morbid Angel, Converge, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Eyehategod, Unsane, Coalesce, and many more. Steve Austin has also made a name as a producer, helping create seminal albums for Lamb of God, Converge, Deadguy, and more. The current lineup sees Austin flanked by drummer Curran Reynolds (Wetnurse) and bassist Ryan Jones (Wetnurse, Mutilation Rites) — as witnessed on the band’s Kurt Ballou-produced Pain Is A Warning LP, issued in 2011 via Blackmarket Activities — which received critical acclaim and took the band on massive US and European tours including performances at Maryland Deathfest, Roskilde Festival and more.

Stay tuned for continuous updates on TODAY IS THE DAY as the tour draws near.
